it's alive...
The tree has survived, probably due to my friend I gave it to being a very caring gardener. The bad part was this shipper sent it in 3 cut-open priority-mail boxes taped together with shipping tape and the tree was completely bent over. My friend has had it staked since last year trying to straighten it as much as possible as it grows. It has pretty leaves and flowery things this spring.
