Once I was able to fit these around my cake pans it was fine. Trying to get them to stay was a challenge, but I got them into the oven. They worked,perfectly. Cakes were even and baked nicely. No more trimming.

Every time I bake, my cake had a big dome and I had to cut it off to make layered cake. I followed many ideas on the internet to remedy it, with no success. Someone told me about it and I decided to try it. I was skeptical at first. But my cakes came out flat and were stacked nicely. No need to cut off the top. The strips were easy to use and long enough for 9 inch cake pan. I would like to give 5 stars , but they were stained after one use. It's not a big deal and did not affect the performance, though. One thing I have to add is that you need to bake a little longer than recipe requires to. Even cake was done, it came out too white and soft. Need a little extra time to firm it and give a little brown color. I am glad that I got these. Will be in use many times!!

I had never used these before, never even heard of them before. I was instructed to purchase them from my instructor in my cooking class. Amazon had just what I needed as usual. Great purchase, very sturdy, washable by hand, and they works.

I was worried after reading mixed reviews that these wouldn't work, but they totally did! No domed cakes like usual. This was a really wet batter too that had boiled water added. They have little dips where I poked them, but no domes! It'll be so easy to frost because I won't have to cut the tops off. So happy!!!

These keep your cakes from "doming". A must have for bakers.

Low quality, can be made by anyone that can sew

I was really looking forward to receiving these, after seeing them demonstrated on a baking show on TV. After buying 3 pans and these strips, I set out to bake a cake, but these didn't even come close to staying on the sides of the pans. I regret buying them.

In short, so far my results have been just as I've seen on the video demonstrations. No more crusty edges and some pretty flat topped layers. They do brown a little bit in the heat of the oven, but that hasn't been a problem.
