An excellent phone with really big digits
I was very pleasantly surprised to receive this very compact and attractive looking phone. The sound is perfect and I like the functionality of the green button which you press when you want to hear it on hands free. The best about the phone, apart from its low price is that it has really big digits, so it is perfect for somebody like me, with eye sight problems. The display is also very good. You can see who phoned you if you pay your phone provider for this functionality. The up and down arrows enable you to go through the numbers who called you (phone log). Apparently, you can also memorise 30 numbers and you have 3 keys with a plastic cover if you want to put the photo of your loved ones for quick dial. This phone is suitable for anyone but in particular excellent for a person with an eye sight problem or an elderly person or simply someone with memory issues.

easy to use
Bought for someone who has memory problems and is a great help simply by adding photos, I wish you could add more than three though, the photos have to be quite small and can be tricky to add, but once done the recipient was very happy, the volume and extra boost is extremely good for someone with hearing problems, have had no problem with the phone apart from replacing the handset, it is quite flat and can slide off if not replaced firmly, overall a good phone.

Brilliant
Brilliant! Compact. Sits nicely on the desk. Looks good. Very clear.Nice big buttons. Good facilities. As my hearing is not so good nowadays I really appreciate the facility to increase the volume of the hearing, and I can now talk to a friend with a quiet voice without keep asking him to repeat what he has said. Speakerphone useful. For once the instructions are easy to follow and the facilities on offer are all I need. Pity no batteries are sup[plied with it. I had to go to the shops before I could set it up. Hope it is not going to be a product that eats batteries. Too early to tell.

Do not buy one of these.
The buttons are big. The lit display is terrible, screen oo small and too dim even at maximum alleged brightness. Also the display shows random figures and kletters all over, interfering wuith the information that should be showing. Also the incoming call display shows numbers but not names. Also the maximum number of stored phone numbers is 13 - presumably the designer was a near hermit with no friends and B.O. Altogether a sorry object - I mean the phone, but if the cap fits the designer too....

Noisey and quiet
Bought this as our signal on a new line is very quiet (engineer says there is nothing wrong but we can't hear people and they can't hear us either) but it did not help. Pressing the buttons to dial makes loud noise in the ear piece, but voices are quiet. Using the amplify switch just makes the background hiss worse. No better than our old handset.Experience was made worse in that it came without instructions, despite the box warning to read them first, and the batteries where in place and out of charge. Phoned the supplier (Home Garden store) who immediately sent both instructions and some rechargeable batteries, however the instructions said not to use rechargeables!

The three buttons for photos to enable speed dialling are especially useful for an old lady who is in no way ...
Bought for my 92 year old mother who uses a hearing aid and can sometimes experience "feedback" when using a conventional telephone headset. The speaker unit on this telephone removed that problem and works remarkably well for an inexpensive appliance. The three buttons for photos to enable speed dialling are especially useful for an old lady who is in no way technically inclined. The ability to just push a photo of me to dial my phone number she finds really easy. An excellent piece of tackle for the money!

Worse than previous model
I had to buy one of these since my old telephone (Binatone Speakeasy 6) broke and wouldn't take calls anymore (you could still call out though). It's a downgrade in every sense. For one it doesn't have a mains plug and makes you use batteries that only last 4 months. Batteries are a good backup option but should never be used as the only method of powering - I get the feeling the battery companies bribed them to do this to increase sales. Also, there's no answerphone. What the hell?! Such a basic function that's no longer present. And finally the ridiculous looking "quick dial" number pads, with ugly mugshots. You can't easily change them, so why the hell are they there, instead of something inconspicuous and equally user friendly like "M1", "M2" and "M3"?All in all a crap buy compared to the previous generation, which is sadly no longer to be seen on sale anywhere. Go elsewhere for something better. It's only £15 but it's still a ripoff for how much worse it is compared to its predecessor.
