A lifesaver
This product has given me peace of mind for my grandmother. Customer service is great. Easy to set up. I purchased an extra necklace that detects falls without my gma having to push the button herself. One time after a fall was detected I immediately received a call from them telling me she fell and could not get a response from her and that paramedics would arrive shortly. Paramedics arrived so fast.

Effective device
Well . . . my mother fell and broke her hip, and the device loudly alerted me right off, and it contacted the rescue squad. She very likely would have laid there until I roused that morning, otherwise, had I not purchased the device.Not sure if she manually triggered the alarm, or if the fall detector did the job, since I had purchased both, and she was wearing both.

Did not work when needed
First, to register this device I had to call and leave a message. It took 3 DAYS for a return call. The person I spoke to seemed to get everything set up and was helpful. So I was hopeful. I gave my phone no. and info., then I was to get an email to give other family members my dad may want to call/ be notified of any emergency or if he needed us. The email I received stated there was no product registered the account when I attempted to give the info. requested in the email. Well I figured, as long as it’s there for him and they have my info. we’ll deal with it for now. The button worked when we tested it by the machine. His cellular access was 100%. Then he fell within a few weeks. The extra $10/ month fall protection- worthless. The button, worthless. He was about 3-4ft from the device. Thank goodness he was able to crawl to his phone. I called guardian and they stopped charges and are crediting my account. I haven’t tried to return the device to Amazon yet, I see I’m outside of the window, but didn’t know when my dad would fall. My advice is to definitely have a back up plan with this.

Added Protection
The product is one that will easy for our parents to use. There are options for use, the wrist option or around the neck are pluses. Great system for older individuals and ones that are not so young. Added protection is what we all can use and this product allows for that to happen and at a reasonable price. Arrived undamaged and quickly.

works well and quick to answer when testing
After a life threatening illness that I was lucky to have my adult daughter available when I became unconscious on the bathroom floor, rushed to the E.R. & although given a short time to live that caused me to be on hospice in an assisted living home for a year.After a year living on hospice in a home I recuperated, and was told I could go home, except for the fact that i was now scared to live alone & my grown children were strongly opposed to it. ( Luckily have 1 daughter & her family that live down the road from me.)I would not have been able to come home & live alone if it were not for the Home Guardian that with just a push of the button on the wrist band that I choose to wear; the answering service who has all my contact information on answers immediately.Fortunately, I have not had an emergency that I have needed to use it, but I do "test" it each month, as directed & they answer immediately asking if I need help.When I tell them I am just testing we then go on to test the box call button & necklace (which i have hanging in an easy accessible place so I can take my bracelet off to bathe (although they say it does not need to be removed to shower but I like to remove it & wipe it clean also now & then).I love it & feel so safe having it on that I never worry about living alone & if I need help fast now.I could not have returned to live alone without it & even my children feel safe now that they have seen how fast & easy it works when they have been here to visit & seen me test it for them.Even if I didn't live alone I would want one of these being older I don't have to rely on a husband or someone to be with me at all times, I think it is a great piece of equipment for not only the elderly, but anyone that lives alone & works hard around the house.

This is a necessity for seniors living alone
We purchased this for my Mom and thankfully she wears it religiously. Thankfully she has not had to use it for an emergency. However, she has accidentally hit the button and the operators are very quick to call back and in one instance she was in another room and did not hear them and they promptly call me to check on her. I would definitely recommend this to anyone considering the need.

Impossible company to work with and to cancel with
The unit isn't any different from others. The service end however is lacking. I pay the bill for my mom. She lives in her own home so the monitor has her address listed. However the bills come to my home. But they were late in sending out bills and I got 2 monthly bills (seperate envelopes) on the same day. Paid them online immediatly since the one bill was a month behind. They called everyone on the emergency list inquiring about the payment. When my family called me telling me they got the calls I immediatly called them. That very same day the called everyone the payment had already been posted. I told them I was in the process of new company and would be cancelling them anyway. Today they tell me a paper has to be signed by the person being monitored. But I am the one paying the bill and the new company equipment is installed and being used. I was told only my mom could sign the paperwork to cancel. WTH!!? What if she had passed-I need to send you paperwork stating that? I DONT WANT THEIR SERVICE! Plain and simple and I dont want this. And dont want my credit rating hit because they wont be getting anymore payments. Verbal Cancel all that should be needed since the bill is in MY name.

Did not fit my needs through no fault of the product
I wanted to use this product to establish without lifeline however since I do not have a landline and because my roof is metal it could not work in my situation. Otherwise I found the price quite reasonable and the potential for the product what I needed
