I have been using the CDN Candy and Deep Fry Thermometer since I purchased it in 2008 and it is accurate and solid. I use it for making toffee and caramel , both involving high temperatures and it has never failed. I leave it out in my utensil crock since I always seem to have a need. Keep it in its sleeve when not in use to avoid scratches that can weaken the glass. I find I get trouble free results when I use the provided clip to attach to the pot to avoid it getting tossed around. I like it a lot and would not hesitate to recommend. FYI* CDN is a food service company, their thermometers are used in restaurants all over and are known for their accurate temperatures.

This is hard to read when the device is in the liquid but it is accurate.

Glass candy thermometer. It is well marked on the scale and accurate with the boiling water test. I like that it is fully sealed, not a plastic plug on the top. Only negative is the spring clip for holding on to the pot. It is flimsy stamped out aluminum. If you are replacing an old unit, check to see if the clip is spring steel.

I needed a new thermometer for cooking and wanted one with a cover to protect it in the drawer. This one is perfect for that and I can recommend it to everyone!

It doesn’t read accurately at high temperatures. Be careful when using it HANDLE WITH CARE. I dropped mine and it broke. The clip is very flimsy you have to fiddle and faddle with it to stay in place. If you clean it you can’t submerge it in water, it fills up with water and the paper inside with them temperatures on it becomes wet. So question for you, How would I properly clean it? The printed temperatures became unreadable. By far the worst thermometer I’ve purchased.

I love the accuracy of this thermometer as well as the case that it comes in. Only complaint I have is that the latch that holds it to the pot comes off frequently but other than that it’s excellent

Le tube de protection devrait être fermé d'un côté afin de protéger le bout : le premier s'est cassé à cause d'un choc. A la réception du 2ème j'ai du bidouiller un truc pour que ça n'arrive plus !!!

Rasche Lieferung, das Thermometer funktioniert wie erwartet. Ich hänge es am Anfang des Erhitzungsvorgangs in den Topf, dann gibt es keine Probleme. Die Temperatur ist gut ablesbar, die damit erzielten Ergebnisse passen. Die anschließende Reinigung ist einfach, Skala gut lesbar.
