CPVC Pipe Fitting, Nipple, Schedule 80, Gray, 2" Length, 1/2" MPT

In the process of installing a two stage filter (particulate and carbon) under my house, I needed threaded connections to the filter. I planned to avoid metal pipe, so I went with this. I didn't realize that these are schedule 80, so my plan to cut this nipple in half and use one half on each side of the filter was stymied until I bought a transition piece to get back to glued CPVC. I didn't think about the fact that thinner CPVC pipe could not be threaded with NPT, so these would have to be heavier. Something else I learned: I used only teflon tape the first time around, and both connections leaked. I finally got some blue pipe dope that has a cure time, and it worked perfectly.

As expected just what i needed to connect my heater to my 2" flex! Was what i needed Home deopot did not carry anymore, very prompt delivery!

Used this pipe to raise the height of my sewer cleanout by my house. Needed a threaded piece of plastic pipe. Worked perfectly.
