I can turn it on and off from my Smartlife app.
Love it. I put it on a light switch in my carport and I can turn it on and off from my Smartlife app.

Good
I always love the light switches better than doing bulbs, maintains a constant connection and doesn’t have the issues that you would have having multiple bulbs connected and not performing properly

Not Smart as it should be
I was looking for a SMART outlet which I can remotely control the USB port to charge a tablet (used as a control panel for an alarm system). This is what described under product description: "You can also set different schedules and timers for each outlet and USB port through the app, enabling efficient energy use". This is a FALSE advertisement. There is NO way (using nice words here), to turn ON/OFF the USB C port, either via physical button or the app, it's ON all the time. The app only show control for the two 110V outlets. Contacted Customer Support, several days later BN-LINK responded saying USB port is not controllable. So frustrating, wasting so much of my time. Carefully read through product description to make sure the product meets my needs before making purchase, now this crap. Now I have to remove it from wall and return it. By the way, BN-LINK doesn't even list this device under their web site. Company name sounds hi-tech, but it's a mickey mouse business. Stay away.

Mechanical fit issues in a 3-gang box, 3rd party app issues
I bought this device 11 months ago, and just got around to installing it. So, I'm outside of the return window. Yet, I am considering paying the extra dollar to replace this device already based on today's installation experience. The electrical performance so far is as expected. The two areas where I feel this product is substandard.I installed this switch in a nice, deep, 3-gang box (with a neutral wire) next to the front door of my house is where I installed this unit. I was replacing an Intermatic time-based device that is supposed to turn on at dusk and turn off later in the evening at a specific time. Because the clock in the Intermatic device is imprecise, it drifts 'fast' at an objectionable rate (requiring resetting every few weeks). So, I bought this so-called smart switch to replace the Intermatic. I share this because it frames why I am not 100% pleased with this device.Having a lot of experience with electricity and electrical devices made the termination of the switch a trivial process for me. Seating the switch in the box was not more difficult than the installation process was for the Intermatic years ago; however, the alignment of the faceplate screw holes is off just enough that it causes the body of the switch toggle to bind against the face plate on the right edge of the switch. There was no problem like this with the switch it replaced. I would expect a switch designed to fit with such tight tolerances around the switch toggle plate would have tight specifications and testing on where the faceplate holes are drilled to ensure this binding action does not happen. If I leave the faceplate screws out, the faceplate mounting holes in the switch body are slightly to the left in both the bottom and the top holes. The compromise solution is to install the screws partially, which leaves them sticking out of the face plate, but at least covering the exposed holes. Then, there is yet another application I needed to install on my phone to set this device up (in addition to the apps for another brand of 'smart' plugs I use. I was disappointed to find out that not all apps are created equal. The app used with this device only allows setting a schedule with specific times, and not other interesting variable times such as sunrise and sunset. Also, following installation of the software, it failed to function correctly after having me register with who knows who or where. I ended up forcing the app to reload, at which point it began to function correctly and allowed me to register the device. Fortunately, I was able to get Alexa to gateway through this app to create the routine I wanted for the behavior I had been accustomed to with the Intermatic timer switch. If I could do it all over again, I would buy the Amazon Basics version for another dollar and have a switch that works directly with Amazon's Alexa app. I would avoid having yet another disappointing and poorly-functioning app on my phone requiring me to register with my e-mail address on yet another nameless and faceless entity from who knows where doing who knows what with yet another collected e-mail address.

Easy install, setup is cumbersome, works great through native app and even better linked to Alexa
I received and installed this switch today. It is easy to install, but it does protrude from the wall (thickness of frame/housing) enough that a standard switch plate will not pull flush against the wall behind it. This only matters if you're using it in a box with other switches and need a double or triple switch cover (like my application). It did include a single switch cover that is deep enough, and it appears to be a nice one.You must use the native app for initial setup and linking to Alexa. It appears you needs BOTH apps running for Alexa control. I would prefer if Alexa could recognize and configure this switch without the native app.The included (paper) instructions were not useful for setup. I had to trial and error my way through, but it was intuitive enough that between Alexa and Smart Life apps, I figured it out pretty quickly. Depress and hold the switch for 7 seconds to enter pairing mode. The switch works fine being controlled by either app, although the smart-life app is very basic, just on/off and building a simple timer schedule. Through Alexa however, you have greatly expanded capability, such as sunset to sunrise, with offsets, easily configured as a routine. I have mine set that way (through the Alexa routine.Once thing that seems counterintuitive is that the LED status light is RED for on, and GREEN for off. There does not appear to be a way to change that, but, a quick google search revealed that this convention appears to actually be an old electrical standard. Red for "Power on, unsafe" and green for "Power off, safe".All in all I'm happy with this unit, and it does everything the manufacturer claims it does.
