Purchased this product to keep birds from nesting and pooping on my porch and banisters. It is so refreshing not having to mop and sanitize every day with a major plus of finally being able to enjoy sitting on my porch with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. I like that it is decorative and love that it does exactly what it says it will/can do. But there needs to be a better way to assemble as it is very difficult to get the rings through the holes of a product that is easily breakable.

Let me start off by saying read the description before you buy. There are only three and they are a bit flimsy. That being said, they worked!!! I’ve been fighting sparrows all summer long and this did the trick to scare them away. I like the hook at the top to hang. These stayed on way better during storms than another brand I bought. They were simple to assemble as well.

I used this product to keep a great heron and other sea birds off a dock on the San Francisco Bay who are continually bringing different mollusks and other sea shells, eating whats inside them and leaving a mess on the dock. While this product has not been 100% effective, it has cut down by about half the amount of messes that are left. It is fairly easy to install but make sure you anchor them well on whatever your using. I first used the included white hooks anchored under the upper deck floor joists. Under heavy storms the units blew off the hooks. On my second attempt I "zip-tied" the units to the white hooks and they seem to be staying anchored better. Overall for the price and simplicity, this product worked well but it's a work in progress.

Bought these in the hope that it would scare away the single bat that comes to roost by our front door. Bat flew right past 3 of these and a wind chime to get to his favorite spot. 3 stars instead of 1 because description doesn’t say it will work on bats. Hopefully it works better for birds.

Changed my review to one star...help some at first but after about a week birds must have gotten use to them....doesn’t even phase them any more fly right by and make nest right above where hanging ...........this was first review on first day hung, seem to work but doesn’t last...It does help keep the birds away...not 100% but does a good job. Just wish was little heavier material so didn’t blow around as much on windy days. It’s held up so far but I do tend to take them down during real high winds. All in all they have helped keep the birds from nesting and off of my cover deck and front porch

I had two big issues with birds regarding my house: robins diving into my big front window and a woodpecker outside my bedroom every day at 7am. The woodpecker was a particularly determined fellow, especially when you consider that I live in a brick house. He would perch on my gutters every morning, announcing his presence to the neighborhood with the hollow gutters amplifying his sound. Thankfully, I placed one of these and he has decided to stay in the trees. In the front, I have an area where birds sitting on power lines see their reflection in the window. I would think that they would get the memo at 7am each day that this is woodpecker territory, but they apparently didn't. So they would feel threatened by the handsome bird in the reflection and launch their attack like a pro wrestler off the turnbuckle. It resulted in a broken storm window on one occasion and a dead bird on another. When I put one of the reflectors in that area, it kept flipping up on my roof when there would be wind. I didn't notice that until I heard another bird bodyslam my window Macho Man style. So I hanged two of them chained together and so far, so good.

instruction is not very useful, need to do a lot of improvisation on tieing knots on the thread for this to work, this product does not work right outside of package, and could be more refined before they sell here. I don't know how they got so many good reviews here. After trying different knots (not mentioned by the manual at all) for about an hour I eventually got this to hang up so 2 stars
