Corelle Vitrelle 78-Piece Service for 12 Dinnerware Set, Triple Layer Glass and Chip Resistant, Lightweight Round Plates and Bowls Set, Winter Frost White

We used this set to replace an older ceramic set. This set is SO much lighter. While the plates, honestly, don't feel strong, they certainly are. And they are supposed to be nearly indestructible - not that we go around dropping or throwing our plates around. There were three sizes of plates and four sizes of bowls. Lids came with the small and medium bowls too. The pattern and colors were nice as well.

I give the set 5 stars because I absolutely love it and they work and look great. Super durable, attractive, functional— everything I love about Corelle. It’s the only brand of dishware I will buy. Only complaint is that the large dinner plates are showing some discoloration with little gray streaks after only 6 months of use. This isn’t happening to any of the other plates or bowls, just the large ones for some reason. However, this doesn’t change my rating. I still recommend!

We got this Corelle 12 piece set to replace an old dish set that had the glaze worn and faded after many years. The old set was sturdy, but the design was mostly gone on many of the pieces. The Corelle set is very smooth and the designs look great. We were very pleased to see that our service for 12 actually takes up much less space in our cupboard than the old service for 8. The Corelle dishes are very thin and light, so it's easy to carry around 6-8 plates in one hand. I could never do that with the old set. The soup bowls each came with a lid. At first, we didn't think they would be useful, but we've found them to be very helpful. Many of our dinners are served in a bowl, and we just have to put a lid on each bowl to store the leftovers. A small piece of masking tape on each lid with initials, and we're set. There are also two larger serving bowls in the set, also with lids. Great value, very compact, and much cheaper than replacing our stone ware!

My old dishes would get super hot in the microwave long before the food did. You couldn't really reheat coffee safely. Even though they said microwave safe. So I was looking for a set that doesn't get hot in the microwave. These are great. The plates are actually glass like the turntable in your microwave. It just doesn't get hot from microwaves. The food does conduct heat and the plates are very thin, so they will get somewhat hot, but manageable. These dishes take up half the space my old dishes did. I have a small kitchen so space is always at a premium. The rubber caps for the soup bowls and quart sizes fit really snug and are very convenient. Over all they are very practical, and they look great. My only possible regret is that I like the square plates better, but they didn't offer them in a 78 piece set. These plates arrived before New Years, So I was able to smash my old dishes with my family for New Years. It was a blast. I'll post pictures later

Love this purchase! Light weight and chip-free! Very practical. My only complaint is it gets very hot when you put it in the microwave. Otherwise would definitely purchase again!!

I have used Corelle for years! I love this new set. It comes with a setting for 12 of dinner plate, salad plate, desert plate and the cereal bowl and desert bowls. There are 3 larger bowls for serving as well. The thing I really love about this set, are the lids that come with it. No need to transfer things to a Tupperware to store in the fridge, or to get out cling wrap. I now just put a lid on the bowl! Love that they add this to the set. I love these much more than stoneware. My old stoneware dishes always chipped easily. I love that these don't. The classic White goes with any decor. The plates are dishwasher, and microwave safe too. I cant speak highly enough of Corelle! You will not be disappointed with their products!

This is a set of 64 very nice Corelle dishes and 14 cheap plastic covers. The dishes are simple but elegant and hopefully as strong as advertised. But who uses covers on dinnerware?

They are plain and basically but they are dependable. Even the large bowls fit in the dishwasher upright. The plates file into the dishwasher easily. The bowls are a bit hard to stand up in the dishwasher, they always want to fall over and take up a lot of space. The while set stacks very compact in the cupboard.

Was sick of the heavy plates of which many had broken over the years. This upgrade was a wise choice. Just a simple geometric pattern, lightweight and easy to fit in dishwasher. Couldn’t be happier with this set although I bought two for convenience. Never seem to runout and they all fit on one shelf without bending the shelf! Highly recommend the set and add the large bowl upgrade. I didn’t opt for the cup and saucer as I like a mug instead.
