Extremely sturdy. I could probably stand on it and feel secure. I figured I would need to use wood glue to be confident in its sturdiness and capacity. I was surprised to find it wasn't necessary at all. While it was kind of a pain to put together, it took less than 15 minutes. A soft mallet might be helpful during assembly.Easily fits standard wine bottles and large-format beer bottles. A few of my larger bottles weren't a problem either. The slots are just barely too large for standard 12-oz beer bottles; maybe a tenth of an inch. You could probably slide a pine board across an entire row to support the 12-oz bottles if you really wanted to. The wood is splinter-free and extremely smooth thanks to the final sanding. I'm probably going to give it a protective coat just in case. But aesthetically it is quite nice and doesn't require any further staining.The packaging leaves a lot to be desired. The shipper obviously mishandled the box and some of the pieces of wood were actually hanging out the end of the box. Luckily it didn't appear to have any damage. Some additional foam or more secure packaging on the ends is needed.Will likely buy again as my collection grows.

I purchased this rack instead of having a custom wine cabinet made like I was going to and I couldn’t be happier. The wood is quality and everything lined up just as it should except one piece which they are sending out as a replacement. I stained it obviously but I have zero complaints with this rack. I reached out to the company to inquire about additional back supports just because I’m that type of person and they guided me through buying extras. Great product with great and quick customer service.

Very high quality materials and parts were cut perfectly. Glue is not mentioned in the instructions, but it really helps the rigidity. I applied a shellac finish and the unit looks great. Highly recommended.

Finally a wine rack that says it holds all (Burgundy) bottles and actually does. The wood is soft and can crack of over tightened, but that is expected with pine. Easy to put together, looks good, and holds all my wine except magnum burgundy bottles. I give it 4 out of 5 just because the price I feel is a little steep for bare pine and such soft wood. However, I would buy again when I have room for another rack.

Very nice, once you put it all together....We stained it and it looks beautiful.
