Auto Ventshade Bugflector II Model #24726 Fits 2002 to 2007 Jeep Liberty

Great bug shield at a great price. It makes my jeep look sportier and protects the paint on the hood of my 2005 jeep liberty sport diesel. The hood was looking pretty chipped up and this covered a lot of the chips. These protect the windshield too. My husband took his bug deflector off his truck he had for 1 1/2 years to trade it in and got his first rock chip in the windshield the same day taking it to the dealership. We immediately installed it on his new truck. They don't look like they do much, but they work!, The bug deflector helps send those little rocks right up over the vehicle instead of into the windshield.

This fits the early model liberty perfectly. with the headlight cutouts it centers itself & is easy to stick on and then drill for the screws.

Came on time, good price. Took a little time to secure to underside of hood. It was necessary for me to drill screw holes at outer edges , because the 2 sided sticky tape wasn't quite thick enough to adhere to the recessed locations on either side of hood. Anyway, the install was a success, and it looks great

I purchased this because of buying a used car that had chipping of paint in front of hood. This covers the chipped area and prevents it from getting worse. This also deflects most bugs from your windshield. I was concerned that automatic carwashes may damage this shield but it remains secure after daily visits because I have unlimited carwashes with a monthly account. The deflector comes with little clear rubber self stick nubs that are meant to be glued to hood but I mounted them to the underside of the deflector instead and they work great. With the rising prices of cars these deflectors will more than save their worth in protecting your hood from paint chipping. I would have paid more for my used car had it not had chipping on front of hood.

Had to re-drill holes, the factory deflector holes did not line up. other than that it is a great fit and looks good.

As a previous reviewer stated, this part is asymmetrical. Though my part was symmetrical on the top profile, the side profiles near the headlights (on the bottom side) are dissimilar. to the eye it's very subtle but if affects proper positioning and snug fitting appreciably. It won't fit centered, it affects the gap between the part and the hood, and makes consistent height of the piece from left to right pretty much unattainable. I will try messing with the mounting position to get a better result though it shouldn't be this hard.

Overall quality is OK. Holes did not line up so I had to drill through the plastic underneath. Not hard but invoncenient. Also, if you dont line up straight it will look crooked. Take your time installing if you run into this. It has a stupid logo on it that I tried to pick off but didnt want to damage the plastic. OK overall.
