7AM Enfant Classic Mittens 500, Red/Grey, X Large

I bought these gloves for my 18 month old. They seem warm, and open up wide enough to help with getting little hands in there. They seem to have room to grow without being ridiculously over-sized. These would be 5 stars for me, HOWEVER, the string between the gloves (the selling point of this for me!) is SUPER long. Like probably an extra foot or more too long, causing the gloves to drag on the floor if she's not wearing them. So I tied a loop in the string. That seems okay.The second issue is that my child's preschool sent them home and asked us not to use them again as they are a strangulation hazard. We've used string connected gloves before with no issues from them, but apparently these gloves are an issue likely because of the length of the string.Takeaway: If your child goes to daycare/preschool - check with the school first. They may take issues with this style of glove, and the length of the string makes it even more problematic. If your child's coat has an inner and outer layer, you may be able to put the string between the layers and negate this problem, unfortunately hers doesn't. So now we have a pair of gloves we can't use... lame.

Love these mittens. I bought these for my daughter for the winter. I like that these are waterproof. Plus they have a soft felt-like liner on the inside. I bought the large so she can grow into them. She is 2 1/2 years old and she should be able to wear these for a couple of winters. My favorite feature of these mittens is the string that they are attached to. It's so hard to find waterproof mittens with the strings attached. I can thread these through the sleeves of her coat and she'll never lose her mittens. Great buy!

These mittens are great quality but run VERY large. I will keep them for the future, but will be another year or even two years before my daughter fits into them. she is almost two and I probably needed the 0 to 6 months size.

These are warm, yes, and the string makes them very convenient so we don't lose them. However, to close the wrist section you have to line up this very thin section of velcro. And even if you line it up perfectly, it still doesn't hold very long. So the theory is great, but 7AM Enfant needs to redesign/expand the velcro section and then they'll be worth 4-5 stars.

Love the look and feel, but I didn't realize that the small was for such little babies. I have 10 month old twins and they still seem to fit them, but wish it was more clear that I should have probably gotten a medium instead.

Although these are nice warm mittens for my little one, they don't stay on her hands. Very difficult to try to get her thumbs inserted into that part of the mitten

Nice gloves only minor issue is the string to go through the sleeves is very long, need to tie it.

The velcro used is so cheap, it is impossible to keep the mittens closed up so the kid ends up having cold hands anyway. For some strange reason, my 4 year old likes to actually move his hands so tucking the mittens into the sleeve of the coat hasn't worked either.
