Got these for our daughter who is 18 months and a little under the 50% mark on the growth chart when it comes to height and weight. Ordered a size Medium, and while they are a little big, they do fit her hands and you can really get the Velcro closures snug so that the mittens won't slip off. It is more of an issue of her thumb not being big enough to fit in the thumb hole well. Her hands were warm and dry when we took them off and they should fit for at least one more year.

Work well for our 9 month old. They stay on pretty well because they don't have a thumb while. I would say if you are going to be outside for a while there hands will still get cold. They didn't keep her hands as warm as I thought they should.

My little one is 20 months old and I ordered the xl for him. These are a little big but he can wear them for more than one year. The connecting string is very long, so I just strung it through is coat and made a little bow to make it shorter. I have had them for about a month and he has not lost them and they have never fallen out of his coat. I highly recommend these. They are a little pricey but worth it since I don't have to keep replacing them.

Love these mittens! My 3 yr old has had them since he was 1, in all the sizes. I love the string, keeping him from losing single mittens.

These definitely keep little hands warm, but we've have had some difficulty keeping them on our 2 year olds hands when playing outside.

I purchased these primarily so my toddler could use them while playing in the snow. I am not a fan of these mittens. They are hard to put on and the string is too long, worst of all my toddler can’t actually use his hands at all while wearing them, thus defeating the purpose of keeping his hands warm so he can play in the snow.

These mittens are well made and stay on. My daughter's hands are always warm when I take them off. The string is a feature that should be on all mittens for small children. They do run large.
