Nostalgic Violet Scent and Taste
Arrived well packaged. I could smell them through the plastic wrapping, that familiar scent that took me way back. Happy with my purchase.

Don Draper's Favorite Candy
Do you love Mad Men? Do you love the scent of violets? Do you want your mouth to taste and feel like heaven? If so, these lovely old fashioned candy mints are for you. A taste of nostaglia will transport you back in time to the olden days, when candy was fancy and unique. The lovely violet scent fills your senses as you open the beautiful purple and silver foil pack and your breath will smell amazing as you lets these disolve in your lucky mouth. Some comments I've heard is, "These are kind of chalky", and "Tastes like soap". Which I suppose is the opinion of those with no discernable taste, because these really are amazing. For the price, it is not really a risk to try them. Great for stocking stuffers at Christmas time.

Great candy- a bit strong straight out of the box
One of my favorite hard candies. Love the violet flavor, however these ones are a bit strong and astringent straight out of the package. I plan to let them sit for a week or two in the open air of my Kitchen before eating more. ๐

WTF
Wow. These are absolutely terrible. Now granted I was trying to give my dad some nostalgia and I didn't know if he had had these before. And boy, if you don't know about these DO NOT BUY!! It tasted like we were eating soap. I had to throw them all away so disgusting

Absolutely delectable!
I love all things violet-flavored and floral flavors in general, so when I saw these (in the recommended when purchasing another brand and type of violet mints I like), I had to try them. Superficially speaking, the packaging/wrapper design is beautiful, and delightfully 'retro'. The fragrance and taste of these mints is simply fantastic, and I most appreciate its strength/intensity--whereas with Parma Violets (their British counterpart, more-or-less) the flavor is very subtle and sort of muted, these have a wonderfully potent flavor with strongly vegetal undertones. Not to give the wrong impression (as this may not sound appealing at first, but it is, trust me), but with these it's almost like you can taste a hint of the green stems/leaves/foliage of the violets as well as the flower itself. I prefer strong, sharp, bold flavors in anything edible (I suspect I'm a bit of a "nontaster", with less taste perception than average), so these mints are perfect for me. The sole glaring downside, honestly, is the price. They're rather expensive for what they are and how many you get (only 15 per roll, and they're small and dissolve rapidly). Since I enjoy them so much, I'm going to see if I can find them cheaper and/or in bulk elsewhere, as I go through them so quickly.
