no scratching, ear infections, or hair falling out!
I have both of my dogs on this after one of them started to get constant ear infections a few years back. His hair was also falling out in clumps and he was constantly scratching. I tried several different foods for him and they did well with insect protein, but my wallet suffered as it was costing me about $60 a month whereas this costs me about $25 a month because this larger bag lasts over 2 months for me. Thankfully, I found this and both of my dogs love it. It is often sold out locally so I am glad to see it available here on Amazon. FYI, this is the same exact formula mfrd by Diamond and also sold under the 4health brand at TSC. Just thought I would mention it in case Amazon has a hard time keeping it in stock at some point too. This requires no prescription and is MUCH less than prescription food anyway! My dogs wouldn't eat the RX food which was a huge waste considering the vet visit too.My other dog has been a paw licker since I got him as a rescue several years ago. Nothing has changed that for him at all, not the insect food or this food, although it is not as severe as it was a few years ago. It is nothing that I would consider putting him on meds for at this point. My dogs are both small, under 15 lbs, and neither of them have an issue with the size of this kibble. One of the dogs is about 7 lbs if that matters. When opening the bag, I am not overwhelmed with the scent of fish either. The formula, price, size of the bag, S&S delivery is all great!

Great for sensitive stomachs!
I was a little nervous ordering this product, at first. My 2 year-old chihuahua terrier puppy has always had a severely sensitive stomach and has been on on hills veterinary prescription hypoallergenic dog food since almost Day 1. In the past, we have tried other dog foods, including sensitive stomach recipes, grain-free and limited-ingredient formulas, and even other brands of veterinary prescription hypoallergenic dog foods; all to no avail. Within only 2 hours of even tasting any of these other dog foods (which the taste was apparently also something to be desired), he would howl to go outside to relieve himself. His resulting stools were always completely liquid puddles, which he would strain to pass, and would retain a laxative effect that caused him frequent painful, liquid stools for several days before transitioning to solid again, only after re-introducing his strict hypo- diet. Because of his incredibly sensitive stomach, I have not tried another dog food brand for nearly two years and have instead routinely paid $75/bag monthly for Hill's hypo. Though this food has never once caused him to have tummy upset like anything and everything else, he began getting recurrent ear infections for the last 4 or 5 months, which caused me to believe that there had to be a better alternative to the expensive junk I was currently buying, and hopefully one he would truly enjoy eating. After lots of research as to which ingredients and formulas seem to work best for dogs with food sensitivities, I found this brand and tentatively weighed my options. There were a few other brands I was willing to try, though the price point was at least 30% per ounce than what I was already paying. My next alternative was to attempt to homemake my own dog food for him, which I couldn't be more nervous about doing. I was initially interested in purchasing the digestive care line, but it was only available in a 25# bag, which I knew would be a complete waste of money if it was a failure like all the others. The sensitive skin formula seemed like it was a decent option, especially since it came in a smaller bag that I could try or give to my neighbor, if it also failed. With much consideration, I finally decided to order a small package of the sensitive skin formula. Because of my dog's history, I tried to mix his prescription diet evenly with the new Diamond Care kibble, but had a bit of difficulty since the kibbles were almost identical. To my amazement, he loved and devoured every last bite of the mixture and begged for more. Nervously, I denied him and waited several hours. And then I waited several more hours. And then I realized it was just about time for his regular nightly poop. I took him out and voila! A totally normal, solid poop. No puddles, no straining, nothing. I offered him more of the Diamond care in increasing ratios of his prescription diet until I was only pouring the Diamind Care kibble into his bowl. He loved it and his poops stayed totally solid and the ear infections ceased! He has now been eating this dog food exclusively for the last 5 weeks with no problems at all. I have never been so happy for my lil pup and plan to repurchase, in a larger bag, from here on out. Very satisfied with this dog food formula as well as it's reasonable pricing. To compare, Hill's hypo was $75 for a 17 lb bag. Overall, the sensitive skin formula is great for sensitive stomachs, as well!

It works really good
Having a predominantly white dog that is possible to have skin issues this dog food is good prevention and works very well and addressing skin issues. With our dog that passed away, he was a white staffshire terrier mix. Who had been prescribed prescription dog food, and I talked My Wife into trying this and it was even better than the prescription dog food addressing the concerns over his patchy scaly skin all in all give it a try if you love your pets./dog

It works.
I've noticed great improvement with my dog's skin and coat. Her allergies have dramatically decrease I'm so happy for her. I have had my dog on this food for about 5 months now and it dramatically improved her skin allergy. Her coat is back to normal, shiny and thick; the hair loss spots have been eliminated and she does not itch anymore. Of course, I have kept her away from foods that she is allergic to but I have noticed that she poops 2 times more than before. My vet says that the food may be high in fiber. I don't mind since it has worked great for her.

Great dog food
This dog food has been wonderful for my German Shepherd mix dog. He has had digestive issues and a sensitive stomach for awhile now and the ingredients have been perfect for helping those issues resolve. He likes it a lot and it's not overly expensive compared to many other dog food brands with the same type of ingredients. So happy I found it for him!
