Breaking down how to create textures has improved my work in so many ways! Giving me better tools as to what grade of pencils to use to create various textures. Lights N darks....etc. You will not be disappointed at all!! I refer to this book constantly. This book helped me to bring the subject matter to life with simple techniques. This was a simple drawing I did of a lion. I did a similar piece a few years back and the 2 are very different. This lion I currently created (the 1 that takes up the word page) it looks like he's staring at you or that he's so real you could almost feel the texture of his fur and mane. This helps to give your subject matter depth and life. If you are already a fairly advanced artist and are looking to fine tune your own skills... Get. This. Book! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great reference for beginners *by T***Y on October 28, 2019* It's a great tool for beginners! However, it's repetitive - using the same subjects for both graphite and charcoal. If someone is not sure what pencil medium to use, it definitely show the differences between them. To be honest this is why the price (in my opinion) was a bit too high.
