Review: Big and great for tents - We got sick of trying to fit our tent in the flimsy bag that it came in, so wanted something big: the largest sized duffle bag, 50 inches long? Yes, please! It works great and we can store the tent and poles and stakes easily in one bag without trying to re-fold the tent twenty times, if you know what I mean. We can fold the tent or crumple it up and throw the poles and stakes in, put the four holes through the pin, clip the strap in and we're good to go. It makes us wonder why we didn't think of this or figure this out years ago. Call us stubborn. The bag itself is a medium-weight canvas material. The fabric and seams are built to last. The 30x50 size fits a six-person nylon tent easily (the 42 might've also worked, but we wanted to err on the side of having plenty of room, and we're glad that we went big). The shoulder strap is not padded, so I wouldn't want to carry the bag too far. Also, it's a single shoulder strap and single handle. (You would probably want a different duffel bag with two padded shoulder straps if you're doing any sort of hiking or portaging with it.) As a bonus, the coyote brown color is nice and seems to fit the camping theme well.

**Q: Is the shoulder strap wide enough to sling across your chest? I can't carry bags on one shoulder**
A: It is not long enough.

**Q: How much sand would it take to fill the 30x50 version of the bag?**
A: I am unsure of how much sand will fit but, the bags can only hold up to 50lbs

**Q: Can anyone tell me how this seals closed? Is there a rope or clasp to hold it closed?**
A: As noted, their are 4 rings punched into the top of the bag, that fold over each other to close the end. There's a metal loop that goes through them and then you clip something on the loop (comes with a clip on the shoulder strap) to keep the end from opening. I bought this bag to build an exercise sandbag. After a day of SEVERE abuse, I noticed the rings and canvas starting to stretch, so I just close the bag by bunching the end and wrapping some small rope around it. Obviously I'm not opening and closing it, and obviously the closing rings aren't designed to slammed on the ground repeatedly with 80 lbs of sand inside. This bag is durable and exceeded my expectations for the price.

**Q: what is the diameter on the 50x30 bag? need it to fit a 43" h x 23"w boogie board.**
A: I don't think so.

We got sick of trying to fit our tent in the flimsy bag that it came in, so wanted something big: the largest sized duffle bag, 50 inches long? Yes, please! It works great and we can store the tent and poles and stakes easily in one bag without trying to re-fold the tent twenty times, if you know what I mean. We can fold the tent or crumple it up and throw the poles and stakes in, put the four holes through the pin, clip the strap in and we're good to go.
