Sennheiser HD 400S - Over-Ear Headphone with Smart Remote, Black

I bought these as good as new and they were!. They are of a decent quality and the over ear cuff is very spongey. The padding on the headband is ok for most people, it may start to become uncomfortable after a couple of hours. The main pro is ofc the amazing sound quality. For me it is clear, rich and has enough bass to really enjoy your music. They are definitely worth it as a budget headphone

I originally gave 5 stars because of the value for money and sound quality. However, others here have said they are somewhat uncomfortable, which is valid. I don't have large ears, I can only listen for relatively short periods, but they suit my purpose. It's important to get a good price. The sound quality is better than I could have imagined at the price I paid. I have professional headphones by beyerdynamic and these sound just as good. The beyerdynamic ones are much more expensive and much more comfortable for long periods. I bought the HD 400S to listen to music on the move. The fold up and are light. They are comfortable enough for the time I'm out and about. The cups do cover the ears, but the ear fits into the cup. They are not 'active noise cancelling', they use passive sound damping: they cover the ears. The sound is so good. I'm particularly impressed with the bass response. I was listening to Mountain and I could hear all the bass notes clearly defined. They seemed to have improved with use. There's no fatigue listening to them. To my ears the sound is fairly neutral and natural sounding. I avoided bluetooth and in ear phones. I didn't want active noise cancelling. The sales assistant at the store I went to couldn't understand this. I sent for them off Amazon and I'm glad I stuck to my guns. This is the best sound quality for music, so far, I've found on the move (spotify in my case). If you get a good price and put sound quality above fancy tech, these are a no brainer.

Bought for my partner to use with her Roland electric piano. These headphones are priced as a BUDGET buy, but the sound quality is EXCELLENT and the ear cushions are very COMFORTABLE to wear for longer periods. She can practice with no distractions without disturbing anyone else in the house while doing so. RECOMMENDED.

Having recently retired, I now have the time to get back into some of my old FPS PC games. Having found my old headphones had almost dissintegrated through years of non use, I ordered these as a cheap replacement. Sennheisser obviously have a good name in the headphone world and I was not dissapointed. They are a little tight on my head (I don't have a particularly big head). Sound from music has to be tweaked a bit in the audio player but they sound great gaming.

The audio quality from these aren’t bad. I find them a little tinny, but once you’ve tweaked the equaliser they’re decent. Noise cancellation is very good. Once on, you can barely hear your own voice. The issue with these is comfort. The ear padding is quite thick, but they are designed to surround your ear fully. I have average size ears (as far as I’m aware) and I can only just fit my whole ear in, with a bit of adjustment. I find I’m constantly adjusting the position to make it comfortable. The other comfort problem is the band. It’s very skinny and it’s got so little padding that after maybe 30 mins I get pain in the top of my head. That means again I’m constantly moving the angle so it’s not putting pressure in the same spot. After a couple of hours it’s not bearable. I’ve returned them for some 5 series ones (HD559) that look bigger and more padded.

Let me start this review by saying I understand these are budget headphones, especially for a brand like Sennheiser. However, even at this lower price point, I do not think they offer satisfactory quality or value for money. In my experience, the sound quality is poor. They may be acceptable for basic tasks such as watching videos or casual music listening, but if audio quality matters at all, these are not the headphones to choose. I bought them as a temporary pair for presenting online radio shows. I wasn’t expecting studio-grade performance, but I did need something that sounded reasonably clear and accurate. Unfortunately, these did not meet even that standard. The most noticeable issue was when monitoring my microphone through them. My voice sounded extremely muddy, with far too much bass. I checked my microphone settings and tested elsewhere, so the problem was not the microphone itself — these headphones simply represent sound badly. To be honest, nothing sounded particularly good through them, but live microphone monitoring highlighted the problem the most. Comfort is also mixed. They are lightweight, which helps, but the headband has very little padding. Because of that, I found them comfortable for around half an hour at most before needing a break. The ear cups have more padding, but it does not feel especially soft or high quality. Build quality is another disappointment. They feel cheaply made and not like a product that would last very long with regular use. The only reason I am giving these two stars instead of one is that they may still be usable for very basic needs such as occasional video watching or casual listening. Just do not expect quality sound. I also think the pricing is off. I understand these are among Sennheiser’s cheapest headphones, but even so, I do not feel the quality matches the asking price. Personally, I would consider them fair value at around £10, but anything above that feels overpriced. As one of the brand’s entry-level products, these headphones may be many people’s first experience with Sennheiser. In my opinion, that is unfortunate, because rather than encouraging confidence in the brand, they may put people off entirely. I am not expecting them to be amazing at this price, but I do expect them to be decent — and sadly, I do not think they are.

Birthday gift for hubby, he wears aids for hearing, said sound quality is excellent, and no interference.

A very good sound quality, and what’s important to me, it gives loud sound so I can work even with lower volume level therefore I can recommend this Sennheiser’s model in 100%, great price/quality indicator.

Tabii tiz ve midler bass kadar başarılı değil lakin hemen hemen her tarz müzik dinleyicisi olarak "Nereden aldım seni!" gibi bir pişmanlığım olmadı. Giriş seviyesi bir kulaklık için pedler ve kafa bandı oldukça rahat, tatmin eden bir ses profiline sahip ve mikrofonunun olup da, bu kadar net ses vermesi de çok iyi gerçekten. -Yukarıda da bahsettiğim üzere kutu içinden dönüştürücü adaptör çıksaydı ve kulaklık taşıma pedi biraz daha kaliteli olsaydı fevkaladenin fevkinde bir ürün olurdu...
