OXO Good Grips Digital Egg Timer with Piercer (11243500)

WOW! If I could give this product ten stars I would. So easy to use, extremely compact and boils perfect hard boiled eggs. I’m new to using an egg timer, and after using this product once, I would never boil an egg without it. I tend to over boil and this product makes the yolk absolutely perfect. Not to mention, after the eggs were brought to a boil the shell was easily peeled from the surface! I can’t imagine how great this will be for deviled eggs! The brochure was super easy to read and gave me a step by step guide on how to properly time and measure the perfect egg. The icons on the product are simple, readable and functional. The product itself is super cute - anyone who loves a beautifully simple designed product will LOVE this. I love the yellow detail and how it mimics an egg yolk. It also looks adorable on your counter! I noticed other reviewers giving negative feedback on how to properly measure and whites bleeding out. The measuring aspect couldn’t be more simple if it tried. First off, your carton will tell you your egg size - not a problem. Secondly, unless you are literally applying a crazy amount of force and cracking your egg on the pin you’ll be just fine with puncturing it to perfection ( details are provided in the brochure). I’ve used this product multiple times and have yet to experience a bleed out from the egg. This product is revolutionary, I can boil different size eggs and still achieve perfection. Very very good. Use mine all the time

As simple as it should be to hard boil eggs-I have always had issues. I’ve used timers, or put the resin egg in the water with uncooked eggs, but had eggs not hard boiled or difficult to peel with shell sticking and tearing up the sides of the egg. So I was happy to find this device work the first time- every time! The instructions are a bit annoying, The english instruction is one’ line at the top of each page so just persevere - and read through. I used plenty of water and when it was boiling pierced the egg as described, put them in the boiling water and turned on the timer (having already selected the correct egg size). Perfection! The eggs were hard boiled, and they peeled like a dream- love it when a tool really works!

A perfect little egg timer! Just dial in the size of your eggs and how well done you want them to be. You pierce your eggs (with the self contained piercer), place your eggs in boiling water, then press the timer button. It comes with a handy little instruction manual. It’s not cheap and not cheaply made. It’s an OXO product which I trust. Despite the price I bought two so I have one in our camper. Not sorry I did. Highly recommend!

I should start by saying I use this a couple times a week and I really like it. A piercer and timer in a single unit is perfect for what I needed. I have used the timer settings for medium and hard boiled eggs and it is pretty accurate, no complaints at all. The only negative for me is that on one occasion, while using the piercer, the egg broke and the wet egg stuff was able to seep down into the piercing chamber. I dont know how safe it would be to flush it with water since there are electronics inside it. I wish the unit could be separated for cleaning so there was no concern of getting the internals wet.

As long as you don’t crash the egg on top of it while using it. It’s a very good design and very easy and fun to use. Good quality build and I’m very happy with it. I think it’s a little bit expensive for what it is so my recommendation would be buy it if it’s on sale

This is so easy to use and has removed the frustration and dread of making deviled eggs. The timer tells you exactly when the eggs are done. None of my eggs have been green and all have peeled easily, making for beautiful deviled eggs. My husband is so happy! I don’t complain every time he asks for deviled eggs. 😂

Love my cheeky-colored egg timer! Have always used piercers and was glad to find the combination of both timer and piercer here, also find OXO products to be solidly made and long-lasting. First, you choose your desired egg consistency (runny yolks etc.) and egg size, then press the BIG grey button, then observe the small band of flashing lights, they steady, hop to the next stage, flash some, steady and finally the whole band is steadily lightened and a reminder sound occurs for the egg rescue--have been happily using it for months now.

I love deviled eggs, but OMG, getting the shells off was always what i dreaded when boiling eggs, but not any more. The little pin hole must make all the difference. Boil the water, add the pricked egg to the water, set the timer and I get perfect eggs every time. Now i can remove the shells with just one hand and the shell comes off in almost one whole piece. What a blessing this device is. I would highly recommend it. This is a kitchen must have!

I saw these being advertised on YouTube so did a search on amazon and yep they have them, I really like boiled eggs but never buy them as I'm absolutely hopeless at taking the shell off and throwing half of it in bin, so i brought one of these and got some eggs and omg the just comes off so easily and the eggs our cooked perfectly every time and it's really handy to put the eggs on in the kitchen and bring the timer into my Lounge and so good to watch the pulsating blue lights so you can see exactly how long they have to cook, yes it's £20 but it's worth every single penny and definitely one of the best gadgets in my kitchen.
