For a little flashlight, it's Powerful
Ended up getting my Mother two of these for her housekeeping job, working nights; when she first thought she lost her first flashlight, then quickly ordered her another one only to have her find it after it just shipped and now she has two (one for personal and the other for work). I work Security working nights and can haul around a heavy duty high lumen flashlight on my uniform that is necessary for finding problems around the property; my mother doesn't have that privilege as me. She can only wear scrubs with small pockets and this is where this flashlight is handy, it's high lumen and compact for her scrubs; battery life will usually last a month for her, and that is with rechargeable's, with normal batteries it's slightly longer but I would easily recommend the rechargeable's. No it is not cheap, but you get what you pay for and that is a very well made compact flashlight that you can pull out at anytime for whatever reason and almost light up a room in the dark and blind anybody trying to jump-scare your or surprise you. It's also very rugged, normal drops are never a problem; the heavy duty clip helps with securing. No issues on this flashlight giving off any heat, even for extended periods of time; but I wouldn't expect this flashlight to be working for no more than 45 minutes at high beam without requiring fresh batteries versus a month depending on your activities...

Killer flashlight. Easy to charge with Charge-O-Matic
I love this flashlight. Its super bright and durable. The only issue I had was keeping it charged. I only use it for emergency situations, so it often sits for 6 months unused. If I leave the batteries installed, they partially discharge, but if I leave them in the charger, they seem to degrade in a couple years and wont hold a full charge. I found a device on Amazon called Charge-O-Matic. I bought and extra set of batteries and keep them in the charger, connected to the Charge-O-Matic. I set it to come on every 90 days for 8 hours. That keeps the spare batteries fully charged, and they should last for years. Now I'm always prepared with a working flashlight and a fully charged set of spare batteries.

Super durable and bright flashlight
The new model still has a focussed beam but it looks like Surefire uses the added lumens of the newer model for more spill compared to the previous version. The E2D Defender is super bright and I did not want to stand in front of the flashlight and possibly temporarily blind me to test it. If you are looking for a focussed farreaching beam then the Maglite ML50LX LED 3-CELL C is a great option to consider. I bought the Maglite as well on their website and was pleasantly surprised by how well it performs. Both are excellent flashlights in my opinion.

Extremely bright even for surefire
outstanding light, as surefire in most cases are very good creating, but this would be one of favorite it's not cheap, but I can tell you if you live in a rural area and want to light up half the world lol, this would be light for you. I doubt you can you beat this light for the price for brightness and also some of the self-defense measure they also placed on this light seems to be extremely well thought out typical for surefire lights and in my worth every dime. I would highly recommend this light on all counts.

Great light
Great light with low and very high lumens. Work in manufacturing and this light does what it needs to when it needs to. Pros: great high lumens capability with a lower lumen option/ durable- I dropped from waste high accidentally and light works fine still.. Cons: battery life is relatively short if using the high lumen option frequently.

Bulky battery hog.
Burns through batteries and runs hot. I switched to surefire rechargeable batteries but I'm on my fourth set because they keep failing to charge after a few cycles. I confidently carried an E2D Executive Defender for 10+ years. Upgraded for the dependability of LED. Its been disappointing. Would not buy again.

Great flashlight but extremely overpriced
I have a few streamlights, Olight and Fenix flashlights and weapon lights. All are good but some are better than the others. In short the Surefire is the best in terms of quality and feel but the others aren’t far off. Light wise it’s the best followed by Fenix then Streamlight and then Olight. The feel of the handle with the milling detail is very nice and the weird pocket clip works pretty well. I had some power issues with some storms that came through recently and the battery life lasted all the times that I needed it for… not really a scientific test per say but it worked today the couple hours the lights were out. So far it’s been great but I’d be lying if I said it was a solid value. I can see this light being $150. That’s a fair price. As it is now it’s overpriced by a lot. Imo Fenix is a really good compromise. It doesn’t feel quite as solid as the surefire but it’s about as bright with similar batter life but far less expensive. I got the surefire because I gave my Fenix to my mom. That flashlight had been with me for a decade and been run over, submersed in water multiple time, been thrown around and really beat up and never failed me. I chose the surefire because of my experience with their weapon lights. It’s a good light but overpriced.

It's really good.
I replaced my EDC light which was a 1st gen 200 lumen Surefire E2D defender. It was one of the original lights with about 1/5th the output of this one. There isn't much to dislike about this. It's blinding at full output and the candela is pretty spectacular as well. The beam on my first gen was pretty narrow. It's much broader on this one. The crenellated bezel and tail cap are a huge plus. You thump someone with this light and they are going be walking away regretting their decisions real quick.

Si buscas una lámpara que la ocupes mayor tiempo encendida, ésta no es la opción porque su bateria dura muy poco. Como elemento táctico y de defensa bien. Uso máximo 5 minutos encendida al máximo

Very disappointing I feel like I’ve been mugged with this purchase. Wanted this for a long time because of how it streamlined looks finally after buying it super disappointed. Not very bright & feels cheap like a Poundland item. I fell for the looks & I have been mugged, Beware looks can be deceiving how true.
