Gigaset Da610 Corded Telephone - Black [German Version]

Phones like this are becoming rarer and rarer. A phone able to use all its functions including display, all from the telephone line connection. This phone was supplied by the seller with the appropriate lead to fit in a UK phone socket (and it works) 1571 and 1471 also worked on this phone. The phone looks great and has great sound. The only problem is that it is supplied without an instruction manual and unfortunately the phonebook menu is in German. I however found it easy to work how to save tel numbers to the phonebook. Additional features like setting the time and date may be a bit more tricker. In my opinion the trade off is worth it. A non wireless corded phone (Avoid wireless wherever possible - the health benefits to you and your children will one day become all to clear) that dosen't need batteries or a mains connection - Priceless.

PROS:1. Very handsome telephone set2. Voice is loud and clear3. The most important is that you don’t use batteries for LCD display, since power is supplied through telephone line.CONS:1. The main control Key is a little sticky. Very disappointing2. In my opinion most tone rings are awful

Sound quality is top, but the buttons are frankly too difficult to understand. This is a second phone so never in sufficient use that I can remember what button does what. And no, the images at the buttons do not really give any workable clues. You really need to read and remember the manual

Nice phone but instructions not in English, and as yet not heard from Amazon if I can get English instructions. So I can only give this one star

Not compatible with BT socket (even with adapter). Has a weird euro connector I have never seen before. Also user guide in German only.
