First of all I love Joanna Gaines so she always makes thing with great quality in mind but this globe sits right in my office and I get compliments all the time on it. I love the colors and the globe itself turns around but also you can pull the top knob up and down so it can be shown any way you want. Another great magnolia buy!

Gorgeous globe! It was actually bigger than I expected it to be. Love the simplistic structure that holds it.

I was so excited for this globe to come. It was going to be the guest book at our wedding. Now I might have to rethink that plan unfortunately. It came dirty, which isn’t a big deal, but looking at it more it didn’t turn right. One side scratches because the metal touches the globe and has started to scratch the side of the globe. If this happened during the wedding I wouldn’t be as upset but it happening before pulling it out of the box I was a little disappointed. Then I saw that the top and bottom of the globe weren’t screwed in right. I tried fixing it but that didn’t work. If it’s going to just sit there and not move this would be the purchase for you. Having almost 250 people touching and turning it probably won’t be the best idea.

I’m pretty disappointed with this purchase. The quality was just not there. The compass piece on the top keeps slipping off when you flip the globe in either direction. There are also some damage marks on both sides of the globe. However, when I try to return it’s going to cost me $12 which is a third of the purchase. So frustrating- I even looked at the return policy before I purchased as it was not Amazon but a third party seller and it said free returns. Overall just really disappointed.

Base is metal. It isn’t super heavy duty, but nice for the price
