President Richard 10 Meter Radio

The "President Richard" is a great rig with all the bells and gimmicks found on high $ "Export" jobs at a better $ The Dick is capable of 85 watts pep with only a menu touch this is a 3 final rig and has many features Roger beep, Echo, Talk back and a useful scanning mode that scans all 40 channels simultaneously. I CANNOT SAY HOW GOOD this radio is mine is set at 53/55 watts all day long love it!channel up and down buttons on the mic Vox and a lot more Ive owned a few radios in this hobby and this is one of the best rigs for the $ I've ever had the receive is on par with the best radios in the game I just cannot say enough about the Dick it can be turned down to run an amplifier I 100% recommend this radio. I purchased this radio twice Amazon took care of my problem and made it right.

Great CB Radio

I’ve been using President radios for a long time since the late 80’s and have been pleased with the performance of all President radios I have from the 1st generation Lincoln and George up to this Richard, the Richard performs very well and, I’m impressed with the technology and features it has, the output wattage on AM and FM are spot on, good on the PEP as well.

Broken out of the box. Info for this radio says a antenna comes with it. There is no antenna. Amazon needs to fix that so people dont end up like I did. The power cord end that plugs into the radio one of the pins inside the plug was stuck inside the back of the radio.

This is what leave on most of the time. It’s connected to a 13.8v supply on my desk. I like that it’s an easy conversion to CB, and it has variable power (50WPEP). It has a cool VSWR test function, roger beep, echo. It’s a nice reliable modern unit.

Pretty good radio for money.Online instructions for solder points are correct. Look for white line on board. Good radio for channel 19...Auto squelch is pretty nice and squelches well, although I wish it would somewhat fade in and hold a little longer, rather than having quiet interrupted by a sudden blast of sound then quiet again, then another blast of sound. Reminds me of the old cobra 19’s. Not very refined in that sense. Turn squelch knob all the way left for auto squelch.Lots of different settings that are fun to play with. I like the beeping swr meter as I can make adjustments quickly with window rolled down and door closed without having to get back in and key up every time.I would MUCH rather it use a 4 pin mic, since I never use the Mic up/down channel buttons anyway. The mic sounds ok but not great, and feels cheapy.Overall good buy in my opinion.

This is my second President Richard. It Is a learning curve over a Connex or Galaxy. This is not an out of the box 11 meter radio. To talk to other trucks using CBs you will have to have it converted or convert it yoursel. I did mine myself as CB shops are not as common as they used to be. A big plus for me is being able to turn up the power from a menu without having to open up the radio. You will have to open it for the conversion.The side bands are a bit complicated but I don't use them. It has a good clear sound and my first one always got complimented on it's sound and power. I like how being small it takes people by surprise.Has all the bells and whistles I wanted without having to add more or spend a bunch of money at a Cb Shop paying to mod a new radio.

This is a very complicated radio too much for me it is not working correctly or I just don’t know how to run it and why did they take my money and put it on a gift card instead on my debit card
