All I did was look up your question on the internet....here is the answer I found: "The batteries are still being manufactured by Leoch for Fisher Price. The capacity however, was indeed different! The original Power Wheels 12 volt battery listed its capacity as 9.5 Ah (Amp Hours). This new version with the blue stickers now stated it had 12 Ah of capacity." Hope this helps

DOES this battery have a date on it?

Yes, it was expired. They stated that it was charged before the date(implying that it was okay), but the one I received was bad.

Will this battery work in place of 00801-0930?

The battery fits perfectly and works very well in my granddaughter's Power Wheel Jeep. This jeep is 13 years old and is the first time I have had to replace the battery. Both the power wheel and the battery have stood the test of time through four grandchildren.
