LumiSource LS-Nessie FR O Nessie Table Lamp

I truly believe this is one of the cutest things I EVER received for my birthday. Orange is my favorite color. My friend glued two wiggly eyes to the top and I put antenna to round out the picture. Very cute, wish they came in other colors except orange and black, would love to get a group and put them in a corner of a room or around my office. I receive allot of complements every time it is out.

The box the lamp was packed in was so banged up and crushed, it seriously looked like someone had used it as a soccer ball. Unsurprisingly, the lamp inside was broken -- the base was cracked in several places and the insides rattled around anytime I touched it. Total junk! It's too bad because the lamp itself is very cute and if they actually bothered to package it properly it would be a great product.

This was one of the key items in creating my DIY monster nursery. It helps tie the theme together in subtle way. Unfortunately, we rarely turn it on because it puts off very little light and is more of a decoration which is mostly what we wanted it for anyway. I was hoping it could be a night light but that didn't work out. Still a good purchase and looks great in the room. But don't expect this to put off a decent amount of light.

This is adorable and gets laughs immediately when opened. But our's, like others, arrived broken and unusable. If they could deliver it in a way that it would work, it could be a great gift, but it's a roll of the dice whether you will get one that isn't smashed.OCTOBER 2015 Update:First one was broken so we returned it. Second one was broken but we kept it because it was so cute. But now this one has a glitch where it just shuts-off. We can be reading by it, or just using it for gentle background lighting, and it just turns itself off. Never used to do that. So now this one has a broken base and failing electronics. I want it replaced. I don't buy something and expect it to fail so quickly.

This is an amazing lamp. You want light? BOOM, there you go. I don't mean boom like it explodes or anything, more like an exclamation of amazement as light miraculously shines from this thing as if by magic. The lamp is fairly sizable as well, and considering it is covered with orange fur, it tends to draw attention. Everyone who has seen it so far has said they want to get one. I heartily recommend this product to anyone looking for a fuzzy orange lamp. It is that, and more.

Received one with a badly broken battery compartment. Requested a replacement, and received the wrong color (ordered orange, received black). Requested another replacement, and received the correct color...with another destroyed battery compartment! The lamp looks nice and met my expectations there, but I gave up after three failed attempts at getting a new condition orange lamp.

This lamp is USB powered, so it has to sit on desk or somewhere you can plug it in. It does NOT come with a usb power adapter, so plan to plug it into your computer, or another USB adapter. The buttons to turn the lamp on and off are small and mixed in with the fur around the ring where the light is and somewhat hard to find.It is not very bright, but works good as a night-light or subtle accent lamp.

Great lamp, solid and substantial and fun! Part of a Spongebob themed room for son, who loves it.
