Works
Fixed my non working neon beer sign. Size was smaller than original so I had to make a bracket to secure

Easy install, seems great
I will modify this review if anything changes. Package was delivered and packaged perfectly. Easy install into the Beer neon sign as pictured. After going down a big research rabbit hole I learned most neon power supplies self regulate to the needed output. The original supply was 3.8, this is 7 which was as close as I could find. I took a chance, as stated, after doing the research and seeing returns were allowed. Wired it up in 5 minutes, plugged it in and turned it on…bam! I left it on for a couple hours, felt the supply, while subtly warm to the touch, definitely not hot. Note, the supply I replaced was an Everton 226D (3.8 Kv output). Price is right and I hope it lasts. Time will tell. So far so great!

Used and broken!
I ordered a neon power supply and what arrived was a used broken power supply. It looked like it was 40 years old. It was stained, greasy, with cut wires. I have no idea how this slipped through quality control. It was also just wrapped up in a bag. It does not make sense.

Good for the price.
This transformer is good for the price. It would work for neon signs right out of the box. In order to make a Jacobs latter or to mess around with high voltage you need to disable the overvoltage protection. Unscrew the bottom plate and it is all potted. There is a devider in the middle, there are 2 small red wires going to the HV side, break one and the protection is removed. This means that if both leads are disconnected, it will not shut off. If you hold the HV wires(well back from the exposed end) you can feel the buzzing if it is open circuit and the protection is hacked. I think it is way over 10Kv open circuit. Quality is not the best, the 2 screw posts on the low voltage side came out of the potting when I opened it up.

Worked great, easy to install
We have a couple of the old-style gas tube glass neon bar signs in a rec room, and one of them (given to us used by a friend) has never worked right. Never occurred to me that you could replace the power supply until it went out completely, and my husband suggested it. The old one said the output was 4.5, and online we could only find 4 or 7 (or higher), so we went with 7, not knowing if it would work, was the right size. Seemed all the inputs were 120, so that was easy. We weren't sure how to wire it to the light, either, but it was pretty straight forward. Set everything up, flipped the switch, and BOOM! This light has never been so bright and beautiful. Would definitely recommend as a replacement and would buy again. Only issue was it's not exactly the same size (dimensions) as our old one, so we had to get creative to attach it to the sign, but we used a screw with nut on one end and just wired it to the other connector. You can't tell it was rigged. Great product for what seemed like a very reasonable price (for two people who know virtually nothing about electric hookups.)

Brought the old sign back to life
This is a great product. Worked perfect on the sign I was working on. Will purchase in the future again. It's easy to hook up as long as you know what you are doing.

Perfect!
I love it! Did exactly what I wanted it to do for experiments with electric arc discharge through various earth materials in a controlled laboratory environment or with plasma discharge through noble gases in a vacuum chamber. The only thing I wish, was if the switch was labeled with on/off notification or had a clearly visible red color or LED indicator for when power is on. The price was right for the power rating compared to others I researched. I'm not using this supply for it's original intent to power a neon sign, so if you are, the lack of switch labeling shouldn't be a problem for you. If the switch is depressed on the side that leads to the transformer, the power is "on". If the rocker is depressed toward the 3 prong plug side, it's "off". My own modification will be to simply add red paint/tape to "on" or rewiring to a switch box with a visible red light indicator that will easily do the trick.Disclaimer to my review: DO NOT PLAY with electricity, for there is an absolute risk to your life in doing so!
