You can get it in any color you want as long as it's black if you select black
This thing is comically durable. I actually think you could run over it with a Ford F-450 super duty and it wouldn't have a single problem with it AS LONG AS it had the cap on it that being said. But it works great with every computer I plugged it in it still works great I loaded it up with a VINtoy and use it to install ISO files into my computer for various operating systems and it has had no errors you can get it in any color you want as long as you buy it in Black when you select black LOL just like Ford said. The portability is great. it is absurdly Tiny it is probably an inch and a half long or 38.1mm and the speed was good part of the benefits of it being so armored up with plastic is the heat dissipation is actually pretty good. and it handled heat pretty well without slowing down very happy with it

Finally, a QUALITY flash drive!
First and foremost, this IS a USB 2.0 drive. Amazon has it listed as "3.0" in error. I knew this before placing by purchase. I was actually looking for a 2.0 flash drive of large 64GB capacity as the devices I am using are 2.0 only. It is not very easy to find large capacity 2.0 drives nowadays. It does not copy fast and I expected that as well. It took around 4 hours to copy 50GB of data to the drive. This is not bad at all for 2.0 speeds especially considering I was copying around 50,000 or so small files. The speed is not of a concern to me. It is the fact that it is able to complete the copy without disconnecting. I have some 3.0 flash drives from other manufacturers and some of these will actually disconnect in the middle of the copy. I am not sure why this is, but it is very annoying. I still do not think the 3.0 spec is as reliable as 2.0 drives. I have never had this happen with any 2.0 drives I have owned in the past. I also wanted a drive that was built to last. Everything now is made of cheap plastic and paper thin metal connectors. Or even worse, some companies use PLASTIC usb connectors! What were they thinking? This drive is a rock and you know it the moment you remove it from the packaging. It is extremely reliable and absurdly sturdy. I would suspect building these is costly Verbatim a premium and I don't expect production to continue because of this and because 2.0 flash drives are considered legacy products now. That said, pick them up while you can. I just purchased two more 64GB drives. Highly recommended.

Was great before I almost discovered fire.
Worked good while it lasted but it was my fault but the toughmax only means when enclosed and covered. My laptop slid off my lap while sitting on the couch, so about 2 feet on the USB side. My computer blacks screened, I heard sizzling/sparking, assumed it was the USB, tried to pull, it was jammed, I pulled it harder. USB bent, USB port on laptop fried, data on USB is unobtainable since its bent and shorts any USB hub it touces... The USB feels sturdy if ran over or stepped on. Since the USB is dead, I tried to bend the metal USB part from the body. See photo with marker for scale

Exactly what I was looking for
The first thing that potential buyers of this Verbatim ToughMax USB flash drive should know is that it is USB 2.0 -- and as such, it's NOT fast. If you've been spoiled by 3.0 speeds or expect to move large amounts of data to and from the ToughMax flash drive on a regular basis, then it may not be the ideal choice for portable USB storage. In my case, however, I was looking for an inexpensive and durable portable USB solution that I could use to store important files for work and travel. And in that regard, this ToughMax is exactly what I was looking for. For my purposes, 64GB of storage was plenty, and I have no problem with the 2.0 speeds of this drive. Additionally, I greatly appreciate the fact that this ToughMax flash drive includes a tight-fitting cap -- this means I can snap the cap on, toss it into my backpack or my pocket, and not have to worry about getting a little dirt or pocket lint intruding into the end of the USB. One additional thing I like about this ToughMax USB flash drive is the size. It's the goldilocks of portable USB flash drives: it's small enough to fit in a pocket without occupying too much space, it's small enough to not stick out of the side of your laptop like a sore thumb, but big enough so it won't be easily lost, and big enough to easily pull out of a hard-to-reach connection (like a USB port that's between 2 other devices -- try that with a SanDisk Ultra Fit, trimmed fingernails and no pliers/tweezers). Tremendous value for this tough cookie -- I recommend it.

BUYER BEWARE: UNRELIABLE - PRONE TO CORRUPTION
I bought this Verbatim 64GB ToughMAX USB 2.0 Flash Drive on sale for $5 in July 2025. I didn't put it to use right away; I'd say probably 3 months later I started using it. At first I thought everything was great, BUT this is a case of "if it is too good to be true..." By January 2026, one of my regularly used files became corrupted. I realized this because I couldn't save any files to the drive. So, I scanned the drive with Check Disk, and lo-and-behold, many, many files were corrupted! I didn't notice any sooner because most of the drive is basically cold storage while I was regularly accessing a projects folder. I used up almost 40GB of 57GB*, too! After reading the many other reviews on here of this very product, I cannot believe Verbatim would put their name on this GARBAGE! I have favored Verbatim for over 20 years. I won't give them another chance, not even for $5, because I essentially wasted my money on this purchase. I am disgusted by corporate greed; this product should have been recalled, and instead they put it on a fire-sale. I would give this product less than 1 star if it was an option. For reference, this item was supposed to replace a 16GB Sandisk flash drive that was used pretty much daily for 5+ years. I didn't even get 5 months out of this. I am a computer nerd, so I am very sure this has nothing to do with user error, and the many other negative reviews seem to support this is a widespread issue. *** One thing I want to point out, I've seen more than a few of the review for this product of people claiming they have the high 50s GB of data and feel they were short changed because it is a 64 GB device.... Yes that is how it works once the drive is formatted. That is normal and you should read up if you don't believe me.

Simple, rugged, USB 2.0 specs. Exactly what I needed.
Looking for a reliable, USB 2.0 device in a pinch, I picked this little guy up and while it is no frills on a thumb drive front, it is rugged and worked perfectly fine as a solid 2.0 based drive that I needed at the time. Some older devices have a harder time doing things like booting from faster 3.0 drives so you need an older 2.0 drive to more guarantee support and this drive did just fine in my case. Not the fastest drive though so even though it's 2.0 speeds, it's still on the slower side with writes. No frills except the compatibility and the ruggedness but it does the trick.

Very great. Fast, enough storage, portable
Easy to transfer the images to the chip. The storage is enough for extra things and all my other stuff fit. When transferring things over it was quick no delays. And it didn’t heat up, but I was transferring over small files from games so It could depend.
