Jack's Point Leather Field Notes Cover for Memo - Pocket Sized Notebook, fits 3.5” x 5.5” Notebooks, Hand Stitched Brown Real Top Grain Leather, Multiple Pockets for Extra Functionality

This is my first time looking for a cover for my field notes notebooks and I’m pleasantly surprised with what showed up. The leather looks to be of good quality and is soft to the touch. The craftsmanship of the product is good and it seems well made. I put the notebook on the right-hand side which was a little snug getting it in, although it's better than being loose and falling out. The notebook size fits well and is adequately covered when closed. Cards slots fit my credit cards perfectly and there are many extra pockets than I know what to do with! The cover came with a smaller blank notebook, a cotton gift bag and a fairly sturdy kraft gift box. If I had any concerns about the product, it would be the ease of scratching the surface. Overall I’m very happy with the purchase and look forward to seeing how this ages over time.

I’m always looking for a wallet that will hold a field note sized notebook and this has been the best I found including products that cost well over $100. The stitching does phrase so I’ve had to burn it off, but otherwise it’s a solid product. The best part of it is the configuration of the cards being distributed vertically instead of being clumped down towards the bottom or top like some other others.

I used to have a daytimer back in the old days. I still like having something easy to hand for notes. It’s just more natural for me than opening up some app on my phone. So far, it seems to be very nicely made. The leather is nice and thick. The stitching is sturdy. I’m sure it’ll hold up a long time. I don’t like to grade it on durability, since I can’t honestly speak to that yet. This is a very handy size. It fits in my bag and probably could in a pocket, but I haven’t tried. Another nice thing, it’s easy to replace the paper whenever you want. On the downside, I wish it had a wrap or something to keep it closed. And I was surprised it didn’t come with more pages in the notebook. It’s thick enough for twice as many at least. I hope this is helpful to someone.

Been using this since I received it. For the most part it has held up great. Besides a small issue that the vendor took care of almost immediately, the item has been great. Small issue: about a 2.5" in length, thread, started coming out of the side, not the actual stitching though, as the vendor mentioned. He immediately helped me out to get it resolved. Which to be honest, he went the extra mile to make sure I was happy with my purchase. Not many vendors will do that for you. I then started stress-testing it. I use it as a front pocket wallet, with other small items in there, and through out the day I would take it in and out, put it in my backpack and same process, just to make sure that what i need it for, it could hold up. And so far, it has. It holds more than 10 cards, and still feels nice! I would definitely buy and recommend the item and the vendor! Great find and overall, happy with the item and their customer service. Well worth the money I spent on it.

I used to carry a wallet. A nice wallet. But I also carried a pocket notebook. Two things. Why the heck hasn't anyone combined them? Well, duh, of course plenty of people have. I researched a whole pile of similar wallet/notebook-cover wallet/passport-cover combinations (hint: US passports are the same size as memo or field notebooks). I narrowed it to two, and settled in this one. It's awesome. Granted, I have had it only a week. But it is well constructed. The leather doesn't bleed. It fits in my (I'm male) back jeans pocket (even with a pen--even a bigger own than the one pictured). It has plenty of pockets for stuff, though I did reduce a bit. I have four debit cards for personal, two businesses, 1 HSA . . . those certainly add bulk. Plus extra business cards, health insurance card, ID, etc. The bulk adds up, but... even with all that, it just isn't bad. And I suspect most people don't carry anywhere near that much stuff. Or shouldn't. The build quality is high and everything fits snuggly. I highly recommend. I will update this if anything changes over time. Two things: (1) it comes with a notebook, and (2) the pen in the photo (not included with purchase) is a Parker Jotter (gel); Simply the best pen, IMHO.

This is a really good quality wallet/Field Notes cover at less than half the price of many others on the market. It is exactly the right size for the standard issue 3.5” x 5” Field Notes notebook. The card slots are a bit tight at first, but they loosened up perfectly after a couple weeks. The slot that you slip your notebook into is a very tight fit, and you may end up bending the notebook cover trying to slip it in. An easy fix for me was to reinforce the notebook back with a 3.5” x 5” index card - problem solved. The leather is admittedly not the highest quality, but a quick rub of some mink oil (or other leather conditioner), made it richly colored and supple. I highly recommend conditioning the outside of this wallet before use).

Although another comment mentioned this, I gave it a try. In less than a month, the seam started unraveling. Otherwise, it is a great wallet. I have initiated a return and replacement. Hopefully the new one is sturdier.

Excellent pocket notebook cover. I am very pleased with the design and quality. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a pocket notebook cover that is quality leather and nicely made.
