Gratitude: A Daily Journal

I bought this for my brother who is a constant complainer. I wanted a Journal that was small, not "pretty" and definitely something hard bound. I was looking for something that showed that this was important and should be "permanent" even though it is made for a one year deal. This book fits all of those requirements. Bro has a small handwriting and does not write a lot to start with so I did not want a layout that would intimidate him and thus fall by the wayside. This does all of that well. It is basically laid out similarly to the two page a week Daytime layout except that their is more "ecru" space (same color as the cover) and occasionally quotes. There are no pictures in the book. The quotes are usually short and pithy, for added inspiration.The foreward by Canfield runs about 3 pages to explain the reason for gratitude, including gratitude for mishaps, something my brother cannot do hence the "whining", and how it has been shown to help. I got him 3M Postit flags as well so that he could color it up and highlight what he needs discreetly. Overall this was a good choice and my brother actually "thanked me for it". 2014 is beginning to look a whole lot better already. Highly recommended./TKL

With the craziness of every day life, I feel like it's easy to lose perspective of how lucky we really are. I was looking for something small that I could do every day to remind myself of this. This is the perfect way about it. I really like that the pages are dated. I think without that, it would be too easy to skip days. These are perfect Christmas gifts, since they start Jan 1st. I bought some for friends, my family, and myself.

Very helpful in keeping once faith grounded. Sometimes we are waited for a big promotion or big financial break forgetting the little things such a company you owe money to agreeing to wait for your payday to charge the money in your account instead of reporting you to the credit bureau avoiding messing up your credit rating. This journal helps you put those things down in writing to acknowledge what God is doing in your life everyday, and every hour of the day. I recommend it to young readers in their tean years.

I love this journal. I bought it a few months ago & use it every day. I love the quotes they have to help you remember all of the things you should be grateful for, even when you don't think there is any. When I opened the book and saw the swirly design, I said to my daughter that it was going to be my next tattoo, and it was. I showed the design to my best friend and she suggested we both get one to remind us of how grateful we our for our friendsip, so we did, just this past weekend. I have no doubt it will bring to mind all the things I have and should be grateful for. I am buying a journal for my best friend and for our tattooist!

This is a well made book and very pretty. I wish the lines had more room. I realize what they were going for but you must write pretty small. This is not a book for journaling. It is to write 5 simple things a day that you are grateful for. I really enjoy it and it is good to have to sum things up and simplify sometimes.

I purchased this as a gift for friends, and purchased one for me also. I LOVE this simple little book that has space to write a paragraph for each day of the year. I end my day by writing what I'm grateful for, and it definitely has the ability to move you from your head into your heart. Even if you have to fake it, it changes how you feel when you state what you are grateful for. Love it!

This is a great, simple journal with the dates pre printed and inspirational quotes on every page. I've used it for two years now. I love it; an easy way to keep track of gratitude.

I have four of these. One for each of my kids (ages 13, 11 and 6) and for myself. It's sweet to see what the kids are thankful for. ("That my sister wasn't mean to me today." Great reminder to appreciate the little things in life.

I bought two copies of this as Christmas gifts for "the secret" followers. Both recipitents were highly delighted.
