As always from platypus an excellent product. Nice and narrow so I’ll fit in bag large or small and you know it will not burst. Well worth the extra money.

This is my second Platypus. The bag appears to have an inherent design flaw in the bonding between the bag and the hose attachment in the bag. My first one, a 2l bag, failed though I was able to repair it using a hot needle to melt the plastic and seal the leak. (Not recommended as a normal repair, worked in my specific issue.) This repaired bag then gave good service. Unfortunately the 3l bag, perhaps with its larger volume exerting greater pressure on the bonded surface (?), has failed along most of one side between bag and hose attachment. The wet rucksack and trousers inconvenient, the loss of water to drink when in snowy mountains concerning.Product likely fine for gentle use in a light summer walk.Do not recommend it for mountaineering, hence the one star.

Great bit of kit as ever. I’ve used many different brands and these are by far the best quality and are able stand up to some abuse

I had a platypus for YEARS and loved it. It gave up the ghost and i replaced with the updated one. Well, it's never stopped leaking on hikes. I kept trying it again and again hoping it was just me not tightening it up enough/ properly. It's not. I can't tighten it any harder and I go to the gym. And I have definitely not threaded it or anything like that. It's just a badly designed connection. I recommended my mate get one a few months later (despite my doubts on this one) - he did and it has a different connection head. Clearly been redesigned... new material, slightly different size etc. Obviously am too late to go back to the retailer so will contact platypus direct. Pity. For 15 years it was awesome. Hope they send me a new one i can keep using.

it is a cloudy plastic and the dimentions of the text and bottle etc looks clumsy and not as cool as you would expect for a platypus bottle

Only used twice and leaked, investigated and leak coming from the plastic side seem- poor quality.

Disaster as need it for forthcoming holiday.

Worried about hose taste when using. Taste free. Excellent product

Sacca che purtroppo ha inziato a perdere nella saldatura della plastica dove é presente il tappo, la costruzione non é ben pensata e visto il costo elevato si trovano altre sacche più robuste ma anche più pesanti. Altra nota negativa é la mancanza di tappo sul beccuccio, facilmente sostituibile con altro Hydrapack.

Acheté une fois en Octobre 2021 puis renvoyé car fuite dès le début .Après essai d'autres marques de poches d'eau toujours avec mauvais goût plastique.Platypus fut une référence du plastique sans goûtRacheté en Juin 2022 j'ai testé tout de suite pour m'assurerde la bonne étancheité du produit : fuite de part et d'autre du goulot .Renvoyé rapidement!Est ce le problème des poches de 3litres ? ou le controle de qualité de la production ?Dommage mais une grande déception!

Never been a fan, always ended up being a one & done type of deal. This year we ended up spending a good amount of time in the mountains both scouting several extended trips and an extended hunting trip for Elk. While not perfect, these bladders are heads & tails over any of the other similar products on the market. The only issues we experienced were when the water froze in the tubes but that's not the fault of the bladder that's what happens when you're out hiking for 14 hours in single digit temperatures and we learned real quick to keep that water flowing. These bladders are much more durable and well designed than other brands and I'll be using them going forward.
