Wolf Tooth Precision-Machined Seatpost Clamp

I decided to switch from a QR seatpost clamp to the Wolf Tooth Precision-Machined Seatpost Clamp 31.8/32mm as I’ve installed a dropper post. I no longer need the QR clamp to move the seat up & down during my rides. Also, hopefully, this will make it a bit harder for someone looking to get a free dropper post.First off, the clamp looks great. Made in USA. The edges are clean, precise & the finish along w/the logo look awesome.I’m not a “weight weenie”, but for those who are or who are just interested, the 31.8/32mm clamp weighed in at 18g. The stock QR clamp that I removed weighed 52g. I was pretty surprised at the weight difference (on the scale not the trail).The clamp works well & was easy to install. The clamp has a lip on the top edge that rest on the top of the tube, slide in your seat post & then tighten the clamp down. That’s it. I’ve ridden every day for a week, double track, single track & downhill, no slipping, rotation or any other issues w/the clamp.Overall I’m very happy w/the Wolf Tooth Seatpost Clamp. If you’re looking for a new clamp, I can recommend this one. Just be sure to measure the outside diameter of your seatpost to get the correct size.Thank you for taking the time to read my review, I hope you found it helpful.

I’ma bigger guy and kept having problems that started with the quick release for my new bike. Fast forward through quick fix and repairs this thing finally fixed it so my seat doesn’t drop.

You get what you pay for these days. This will keep sticky fingers from stealing my dropper seat post and fancy seat!!!

Once I evenly installed the clamp, a few turns to tighten, even looks great!

I had a seat post that slipped no matter how hard I honked on the QR lever even after cleaning off the grease so I decided to try a bolt clamp. It's a road bike (hybrid). I don't need to adjust my seat once it's set.I have a 27.2 post with a 31.8-seat post tube. It took a bit to get it on but it fits perfectly. It won't come off or shift when I loosen it.

Item was as described and the quality of materials and the machining was excellent. The webpage provided excellent instructions on how to properly measure the seat tube to determine exact fit.

I bought this 31.8mm for my ELECTRA TOWNIE 7d E-bike conversion.I have a thudbuster st and a cloud 9 seat with the original quick release seatpost clamp and i wanted something that had more clamping power and something to make it harder to steal my $200+ seatpost and seat comboPlus its made in the usa so i feel better spending a few more $ for a clamp.With they offered one with a security torx screw for theft deterrent

Like others, my bike came with a quick-release clamp for the seat post. I tightened that thing down so much that it hurt my palm to close the lever, but it still sank on every ride. Since I'm the only person riding my bike, I have no need for a quick-release clamp, so I ordered this Wolf Tooth clamp to replace it. I've only had to set this clamp once, and the seat has not sunk one bit after several months.
