Best Beard Products Out There
Probably my second favorite scent from the company. Smells amazing. The product works great to hold my beard in place when it’s longer and I love using it while my beard is shorter as well. It keeps it soft and conditioned as well as smelling great. It’s easy to use and comes at a great price.

Good smell, very greasy, waxy after use
Smells good and tames crazy beard hair. I would give it 5 stars but it leaves a waxy greasy feel on your beard. If you start playing around with your beard after application your hands will get a greasy, waxy product on them .if you handle any glasses, shades after ,it will smudge your glasses up, your phone too! I find myself washing my hands a lot after using this product. I like beard butter a lot better. You can still tame crazy beard hair but dont get that waxy greasy stuff all over your hands throughout the day. I guess its a matter of personal preference. Also if this product is in a cold room it will start getting a grainular feel about it when you first finger it out of the container. It takes extra rubbing it to get it to a application level.. probably wont get this product again but love the beard butter products.

“Bay Rum Beard Balm: My Beard Smells Like a Pirate Went to a Spa!”
Let me tell you, Grave Before Shave Bay Rum Beard Balm is a GAME CHANGER. Before, my beard was like an unruly pirate ship in a storm—wild, unpredictable, and occasionally smelled like it had spent a bit too much time at sea. But this balm? It’s like Captain Jack Sparrow walked into a luxury day spa and came out looking dapper as ever! First off, the scent. Oh man, if you’ve ever wanted to smell like you just sailed the Caribbean, sipping rum and kicking back under a palm tree, this is it. But in a classy, “I actually moisturize and care about myself” kind of way. I went from “mountain man” to “pirate gentleman” in a matter of seconds. As for the beard itself? It tames that scraggly beast like it owes it money. My beard went from looking like it was ready to stage a mutiny to smooth, shiny, and so soft I caught myself petting it during Zoom calls. And the best part? No greasy feel. It's all hold, no slip-and-slide. Plus, my partner loves it. I went from “scratchy cactus face” to “oh, you can come in for a cuddle.” Thank you, Grave Before Shave, for saving my beard... and my love life.

Great smell, great moisture
I randomly decided to stop shaving and quickly realized I needed to find something to tame my beard. I wasn’t sure what to get, but saw this brand recommended on Reddit quite a bit. I chose this scent on a whim and I’m so glad I did! My grandpa was a barber and the scent brought back so many memories of my childhood at his shop. I’ve been cutting my own year for 15+ years, so I haven’t been in a barbershop for a long time. RIP grandpa Jack! This stuff is quite greasy, so I was worried about it making me break out. Fortunately, it didn’t! It just left my beard soft and smelling great! Will definitely buy again!

Best Product I've Tried
So, I have been searching for quite some time to find the perfect beard balm/conditioner. I tried Honest Amish, which is arguably the most widely bought and highly rated product here on Amazon, but I wasn't impressed. The balm had a pleasant smell at first, but became sort of nauseating after a while. Also, it left a very, very greasy residue in my beard that not only made it feel uncomfortable but also left an unnatural gleam to it. Grave Before Shave is A LOT better. First, the smell is amazing. Subtle and manly, but remains around for as long as it's in your beard. It also isn't overly greasy. What's more, it makes both your hair AND your skin feel amazing. The neat little tin that it comes in isn't a bad bonus either. Everyone who smells it loves it. I've sort of become the weirdo who tells anyone close enough to lean in and smell my beard. The good thing is that the awkward looks vanish the moment they catch a scent of the stuff. I've found my permanent beard balm! The only thing I want now is to continue trying the rest of the products GBS offers.

Works and smells great
I love the smell of this product and it does what it needs to do. Every time I get in the mood to grow my beard this is why the products in the scent I use but then at some point I decided to shave and then it goes to waste lol I guess I can never really commit to growing a big beard again lol. Doesn't smell like bay rum
I have no doubt that this is a quality beard balm, and will do its job of softening/taming the beard. But I'm disappointed in the smell. It's pleasant, not too strong, but smells more like like a slightly sweet barbershop talcum than bay rum. It doesn't really smell like bay rum at all. For a good example of a bay rum scent, look no further than Captain's Choice Bay Rum Aftershave (THAT, is what a proper bay rum scent smells like). Again, this doesn't smell bad at all, it just doesn't smell like bay rum (which is the whole reason I bought it in the first place). I'd like to try GBS's cigar/vanilla scent, and maybe I'll pick that one up next. I just hope it smells as described.
