Q: Is this a quiet hair dryer or less loud than others. Does it have a high pitch whine?

I'd say this was relatively quiet and it doesn't have a high pitched whine.

Q: Does this blow gentler than the infiniti pro performance orange model? i'm looking for that. my old red one w/on-off ionizer was gentler.

I am not familiar with the orange inifinti pro.

Q: Does the cord get all twisted? on my old dryer I would have to hold the plug and the dryer would unspin, (I could never figure out how it happened)

So far the cord hasn't twisted. I do know what you mean, though. The cord always twisted with my previous hair dryer.
