Kawan Rubber duck

Initially I felt really silly about buying a $20 rubber duck, but my toddler was so keen on having a duck with her at bath time, and the one she was using (and happily relieving her aching gums on) was not a chew-safe material. When it started accumulating mold inside, I started looking for a replacement, and I was surprised at how hard it was to find a real rubber duck. I ordered this one with the intention of using a glue gun to seal any holes to prevent water from getting inside. So I was THRILLED to find that it was already sealed and completely hole-less in its construction. And it was adorable. My daughter went nuts for it right from the get go. Hevea's customer service is excellent too. When I wrote to them about what appeared to be a manufacturing defect, they asked for a photo (which I provided) and sent a replacement immediately after. All in all, I'm happy we splurged on this. I think it would make a great gift for expectant parents.

The kids love them but I wish they would float with the duck upright. They aren't weighted in a way that holds them head up when in the tub.

Just take a look at the pictures. Incredibly flawed with a complete lack of quality control, I'm shocked this is being sold to parents who want to give a high quality item to their baby. The "brand new" Hevea Kawan showed up with dirt marks on each side, I tried to wash the marks off but couldn't get rid of them 100%. The entire surface is bumpy, this is NOT a smooth product. It's like a dirt storm came through the factory hitting the duck and they just sprayed more rubber over it. So besides the tire marks that were on each side and he head that I had to scrub off this allegedly brand new product, and besides the bumps covering the duck (see photos) there are bubbles all throughout the beak and eyes that bursted during production and left a horrible looking finish. There is absolutely no attention to detail. I immediately returned the product and went with the CaaOcho Whale which I've since received and couldnt be happier with, and which happens to be quite a bit less money but still a pure, safe, high quality rubber. Shame on this brand! I want to follow them around wih a shame bell and ring it theoughout the city Game of Thrones style! Lol. But honestly, I'll never buy from them again and urge you to write a review if you've had the same experience to save other people the hassle. Just go with another brand like CaaOcho or Vulli, if you're using a Vulli Sophie for a bath toy be sure to seal the hole on the belly with a drop of hot glue to keep the inside dry and free from mold and mildew.

This duck is even more cute in person. It seems to be of very high quality. We have had it for 8 months now and it still looks like it did when we bought it. Baby likes to chew on it so it is so nice that it is non-toxic. And I like that it doesn’t have a hole that lets water in. I don’t have to worry about draining it after bath time.

The materials are amazing. My son can chew all he wants to on it and I know he's not being poisoned. That being said, this duck NEVER sands upright. Even if you carefully place it in the still water... it tips over. So not cool.

Love this duck. My little girl loves to chew on this duck. It is the best I have found for the bath as well.

I even use it as decoration in my daughter's room. Seriously, so cute!

When I received the item, I was pretty disappointed. Based on the picture and description of the product, I thought it would be more like a traditional 3D rubber duck. Instead, it looks more like a flat teether. I understand that the quality of the materials/construction is of a high quality, however, for nearly $20, you'd expect a bit more than something that looks more like a teether, and less like a bath toy.
