I am building a storage shed in a hurricane area are these screws better than nails on rafters and floor joices ?

screws have a stronger pullout Raiting but a lower sheer rating i would use nails and hurricane straps on the joist

Yes it has an Auger point and the unthreaded portion is one inch long. They have a great color, neutral and matches weathered wood.

Please add some information on the type of application you will use the screws in. These screws will work just fine in treated lumber. If you are screwing decking or plywood into a floor joist they will work but are a bit long. Using them to screw sheathing down to the roof rafter / truss they will work but the 3 inch are again a bit long for that application. hope this helps.
