Pacific Gunner - PC

One of the greatest video games EVER!!! First from a purely historical stand point 10/10 regarding accuracy. Graphics for the time it was made 10/10, sound effects 10/10. Really makes you feel you were on a navy ship in the pacific during world war2. Exciting game to play. Tip in the landing scenes you must knockout the land pill boxes in order for the landslide no craft to land safely. If you lose 5 landing craft you lose that battle. It sounds simple but you simultaneously have to shoot down the kamikaze planes while knocking out the patient pill boxes on the land. It sounds easy but it is not!. Oh yes, you can knockout all the 3 waves of planes at Pearl Harbor!, but so sad a Japanese submarine gets you regardless. So can’t change history :(. Thought I could... Great game. To bad there exists no newer version. Get this if you love history and video games

Tried to play this on my Windows 10 machine. It will play, but very unstable. Was very playable and fun on my old pentium computers.

I have not been able to load the game, the cd will not run , this is not what I have been used too from amazon , although it is not necesssarily the sellers or amazons fault Mike

I bought the game and played it for a couple hours and got bored... Sure, you get to [aim] at Jap planes, but I get fed up trying to aim when the [weapons] constantly sway back and fourth. You have poor control over the [weapons], I don't like that... Still, it's sort of fun to play... for awhile... You takes your chances... I'm not for or against this one... You get to [aim] from several different mounts aboard ship, you can [aim at] and sink other ships - Jap ships, which I enjoyed... But, you have to keep jumping from one mount to another looking for targets and then your firing range is severely restricted. ...
