Filipino staple!
Great for cooking and marinating. I used both for my chicken adobo. The dark soy gives the chicken that nice caramelized color. Love that it comes in large sizes.

My all time favorite vinegar and soy sauce i use this product daily for all my cooking needs I have tried other brands but I do like the taste of this although I don't have the correct words to adequately explain the slight differences in brands but I do love using this vinegar, soy sauce, bay leaves, some brown suger and whole black pepper corn and water to cook chicken in crackpot and when done use the meat and sauce from it to make enchiladas whis some chili Verde sauce mixed in them

Game changer for cooking Filipino food!
I am not Filipino but love chicken adobo and have been making it at home for several years, using Chinese soy sauce and Heinz white vinegar. I decided to order this to see if it would improve my chicken adobo and it definitely did! I found that following the recipes online for the proportions of soy sauce and vinegar using Heinz white vinegar always tasted way too sour to me, and I would always add a bunch of water to mellow out the flavor. However, using the Datu Puti vinegar which is a cane vinegar, I did not have this issue at all. Cane vinegar has a slightly more subtle flavor than white vinegar that is perfect for chicken adobo. Not sure how much of a difference the soy sauce made, but I will continue buying this value pack for cooking Filipino food!
