Review: Great Chair - I just received and assembled the chair yesterday, fairly easy to assemble, it took around 30 minutes. The tools included will get the job done, but some screws are kind of hard to get to as the L shaped bars included don't have a short end to reach tighter places. (the chair uses hexagon shaped screws with mini hexagons on the inside) Feels very comfortable, the mesh backing has just a little bit of give to it and the seat is a very comfortable and also has a bit of give. There are obviously lots of customizable aspects to the chair, the instructions manual has a decent explanation of what all the levers do, however, it's not entirely clear about one lever and I'll expand on this at the end of the review. Overall, my only real complaint is that the arm rests sometimes get pushed down from their upmost position when I put my weight on them to adjust myself. I'm 6ft tall and have no problems with awkwardly resting on the mesh. My shoulders are just below the plastic surrounding the mesh when I'm fully sitting up, but even still if you're sitting upright you aren't really touching more than the lower portion of the back. The seat could also be adjusted further forwards for extra compensation if you're taller. I will try to update my review, but I've already seen many others that indicate this chair will stand the test of time. I would 100% recommend this chair for anyone who has the money, comfortable, highly adjustable, seemingly well built, and fairly inexpensive for a high-end chair. (From back to front the levers are 1-5) The frontmost lever (lever 5) seemed like it didn't do anything, it took me quite awhile of messing with the chair to find out what its function was to begin with, and it seems mostly pointless anyways. The instructions sheet tells you to "lean back with lever 2 in the down position," however you do not need lever 2 in the down position (although it can be) and you need to already be leaned backwards before pulling down lever 2. (So the chair's tilt is not locked) Once you lean back enough, you are then able to move lever 5 forwards in order to essentially set a minimum amount the seat can be tilted forwards. If you had lever 2 down you can then release it and the chair will be stopped at a 90° angle to the ground as opposed to tilting forwards which is the starting position. The chair isn't really made to lean back in so this feature is somewhat pointless as it will never really lean backwards with lever 5 in place unless you intentionally do so. Could have been explained better in the instructions manual, but nothing much to complain about as the instructions make a bit more sense after I've already figured it out.
Review: Excellent chair for the price point. Very small complaints. - After spending many days researching chairs in the sub $200 category, I decided on this one. As you may note, this chair is extremely similar to the Lorell Executive Mesh High Back chair as well as the Alera Elusion High Back chair. Please keep in mind this is a review of a sub-$200 chair and will not be compared to the likes of $800-$1000 chairs, which seems some people like to do for some reason. I work from home at least once per week as well as many hours dedicated to browsing the internet and gaming. So I needed a chair that had a high level of comfort for long periods of time. In this price range, it pretty much came down to a lot of store brand junkers as well as the Ikea Markus (which generally gets very favorable reviews across the board). I came upon the Proline II via PC Gamer's article from 02/05/2015 as their recommendation for budget chair. Bought it and overall am pleased. Overall build construction appears to be very good. So let's do some pros/cons: Pros: - Firm, dense seat cushion that still has plenty of give. I would not describe it as "plush", but the end result is that I still don't notice it after eight hours. That is a win when I consider comfort. - Back mesh gives enough support and give. Good amount of lower and center-of-back support. - Casters are silky smooth and move with ease. - Plenty of adjustments available (seat front-to-back adjustment ,armrest height and width adjustment, seat angle adjustment, backrest angle adjustment, backrest tilt tension, and forward tilt). There aren't a ton of chairs at this pricepoint that give these adjustments. Semi-Cons: - For those needing a lot of lumbar support, I don't think this will fit the bill. I would have loved a bit more lumbar support, but I find that if I stay upright I get enough overall support. - The tilt tension seems overly low. Even at it's "tightest" tension, the chair back will still move with very little movement. I would have liked a bit more resistance. But I have the backrest locked 90% of the time anyway, so this isn't a huge problem. Cons: - Arrived with a tear/puncture on the bottom of the cushion. There was no damage to the box when it arrived, so I'm not sure what hit it. I've submitted a request to Office Star to remedy this without returning the entire product. If I'm unable to get it repaired, I'm pretty sure it will spread after use. - Arm rests are a fairly hard plastic. Comfort is still there, but be aware that these aren't super soft. Also, even after tightening the knobs to lock them in place, they still have some side-to-side movement. Again, not a dealbreaker, but it's notable. Overall I am highly pleased with this chair and am happy I spent less than $200 to snag it. I feel it is priced well for it's amount of features. As a side note, I certainly don't understand the reviewer who complained of hard-to-understand instructions. The assembly was very straight forward. The "Mechanism" they discuss is the only huge part in the entire box (the part that contains all of the adjustment levers). Yes, it's funny that the instructions do ambiguously describe it as "The Mechanism", but it's quite clear that is exactly what it is. I assembled it in less than 15 minutes without issue and I would assume most other buyers wouldn't have any issue assembling this chair. The only small quib is that yes, one of the six bolts that attach the mechanism to the chair is a bit tough to get at due to the levers. The supplied allen wrenches will reach it though and shouldn't take more than another minute to tighten down. I'd happily edit this to a five star if I'm able to sort out the fabric tear. Edit: Sent an email to the company with pictures of the tear and filled out a form requesting a new seat. Within a week of confirming the email, they had shipped me out a new seat, no charge. Boosting to five stars, excellent customer service.

**Q: What is the weight limit for this chair?**
A: Standard weight limit for any non rated chair is 250 lbs. This is as such for this chair.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Product with a disappointingly low lifespan on a very important part.
*by P***N on July 11, 2021*

An incredibly comfortable product that's, in my opinion, well worth its price. I've had it for little over a year now and have up until recently been very satisfied with my purchase. The build quality is very good with neither the fabric mesh nor the cushion showing any real signs of wear despite frequent use. While very ergonomic on its own I do highly suggest that anyone who buys this also purchase something similar to what I link below for it improves an already great product tenfold: Suggested purchases: Lorell Hi-Back Chair Mesh Headrest Office Chair Caster Wheels And for those who might be wondering, the armrests are an optional addition. They can be removed and adjusted with incredible ease but seem fairly limited in the length in which you can adjust them. I do not use them however so cannot go into depth there. I cannot say it enough, this chair is very comfortable and might I add well built too. It was also very easy to assemble thanks entirely to easy to absorb directions. If not for a crucial part suddenly failing I would have happily given this product a full 5 star review for really, it is the best office chair I've ever owned. Onto the aforementioned problem. The gas cylinder, one of the most important parts of any office chair has began to leak gas after only a year of use. In fact, as I write this review I am slowly but surely getting closer to the ground and while amusing at times, it can get frustrating when I am doing something that requires focus. Product details say it's designed to support up to 250 pounds (I weigh in just over 200) and a quick look over the warranty does have this part listed as covered for up to 5 years but still, having to replace this part after only a year of use is disappointing, especially when combined with the fact that until a replacement part arrives, I am stuck constantly adjusting my chair back to its proper height. I still 100% recommend this product but only if you're ready to deal with part replacement for its clear that some parts will far outlive others.
