Product description says "cockpit bomber jacket." are these the same cockpit jackets as are made/sold by mypilotstore or just cleaver marketing?

I'm not sure but it seems several seller sell the same product.

What kind of insulation is on the inside? Is this jacket good in cold weather?

I am not really sure what is between the lining of the jacket and the leather (acting as insulation material). I live in Egypt, so winters are not as harsh as in say for example Europe. But the jacket keeps you warm in a cold winter night here (between 6 to 8 degrees Celsius). But I have to warn you about the sizes. I have ordered 3 jackets from the seller. The first one, the size was a bit large. And the collar was a bit too big aesthetically. The material was of good quality though and the jacket was comfortable to wear. So I ordered a second one but this time I provided body measurements to the customer service in addition to instructions on how I want the jacket to fit (customer service was pleasant, prompt and very helpful). The jacket that came was nice looking except for the collar that was again a bit too big (its shape was also a bit funny). The arms sleeves were also a tad tight but not as to make the jacket uncomfortable to wear. For the third jacket that I ordered, on top of the measurements, I provided pictures of a model. They charged me extra for a custom order (which was fair as the model was not in their catalogue). But unfortunately the result was disastrous. The jacket was too small to the extent that I could not wear it. As explained earlier, I live in Egypt, so sending the Jacket back was not economically viable. Customer service offered to help though by proposing to pay for the costs of having the jacket ‘enlarged’ by a local Taylor in Egypt. I thanked them but declined as I thoughts it was not really worth the hassle.

I wear a 52 portly short. What size should I order ?

I have no idea what size to suggest however I would not buy this item again as what I received hardly matched the picture at all. It was a gift for our grandson and while he said he liked it I think he was being polite rather than truthful. There are alot of other similar items available and I would look at them. Sorry I don't know about size.
