I bought this for my Daughter -N-Love to make life easier. She love it, so far. So does my son. I haven't asked lately (she's only had it a couple of weeks) to see how well it is holding up.

I had the smaller 6-quart one for almost 4 years, but it got damaged during a move. I love the non-stick inner pot! I use this more than my stove! Forget to soak beans last night? No problem! I also like that all official instapot products work on this

I love that it is so versitile, I can cook a lump of frozen meat and make supper in less than 2 hrs easy, and no thawing required, I just rinse of the surface of the meat, add a bit of oil, brown it a bit, add water and seaonings and like magic it makes some of the best tender meats. I also love to cook dry beans, rice, chili... anything I either want fast or tender. This is my third pot like this. My first met with an accident that melted the bottom (sat it on a not ceramic top stove), the second one I used so much it just wore out ( not same brand and much smaller). I love this pot, but wish mine had come with an owners manual, I think I got a discount on a returned item, too bad it didn't include the directions, I would have had problems had I not had prior knowledge of how to work one.

My husband made a beef stew from scratch. It took only 35 minutes to cook everything! And the taste and texture? Wonderful. Meat was so tender you could cut it with a fork. The vegetables were cooked to a tender, melt-in-your-mouth consistency. In case you're wondering how much the pot can hold. We used 2 pounds of beef, a 3-lb bag of carrots, 7 potatoes, 2 onions, and, of course, broth. Now that's a lot of food. It didn't even reach the top of the pot. The stew was automatically cooked using the pressure steamer. It doesn't need much water for the release of steam. I haven't used the pot for anything else, but I love it, husband loves it, and we are looking forward to making wonderful creations, especially yogurt, in the near future. Oh, also, the pot is very easy to clean. No scrubbing needed.

The best thing is only needing 1 appliance to use! Ex: sear a roast, slow cook the roast, veggies, potatoes, remove food and turn up heat to make gravy! The pot removes and cleans with a rinse, nothing sticks to it. So easy to use and clean. My favorite kitchen "must have".

I regret not buying, a long time ago. Very easy to use and clean, time is pressed for me and in that, this pot is perfect. Now I hope it doesn't stop working. Thank you very much for an excellent shipment.
