Chromatopia: An Illustrated History of Colour

Small and superficial, not without good points
Bear in mind that this is a relatively small book that presents two or three facts about roughly 45 colours. There is a section on making paint which was interesting. This is a light read with a lot of stylish illustration (attractive full-page unexplained photos) that overall gives the impression of advertising copy to accompany some kind of paint product - but there is none.
