8260-4 26" Portable Tool Box, Charcoal Gray

This is EXACTLY the same as the Tuff Box I had for over 10 years. The one latch rusted off of my old one but otherwise it is still in good shape. This tool box has to be made by the same people only without the "Tuffbox" logo on it. The material is the same thickness, latches are the same, the tray inside is identical. The only other difference was I paid about half as much for this one. Its a great box, perfect size for my needs. If you have looked at tool boxes by Stanley and others they are not even in the same category. they look and feel like a toy compared to this very strongly constructed box. If this is the right size for you, buy it and you won't have to look for a replacement for a very long time if ever!

We live in a house with 5 adults, and it became necessary to secure the households' otc drugs. After looking for a week at all the safes and medicine lock boxes, I just could not find one that would hold all the bottles of heartburn medicine, Tylenol PM, Ibuprofen, Excedrin Migraine, allergy medicine, cold and cough syrups and pills, and other mundane things that most people keep in the house for random maladies, that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg! I didn't need it to be bomb-proof, just tamper-proof. When I decided to switch my searching to tool boxes, I found this, and it was perfect. It's large size and internal tray allows all the random otc bottles and boxes to fit and still fits on the hall shelf that previously held it all. I added a directional padlock and viola! It's very sturdy, didn't break the bank, and keeps everyone safe! Couldn't be happier!!

Not as big as I expected

I have owned 3 of these. They have a good weight to strength ratio. This is the first one I bought online. I unboxed it and stashed it while I got every last bit out of my old box. When I did switch boxes I noticed the lid on the new one was cracked. My bad for checking sooner. Rating would have been a 5.

The tool box arrived lacking one of two rivets holding the handle in place. Handle swivels on one rivet. Handle is useless. Without a functioning handle, the tool box is not portable.

I have used a tool box like this for many years and it is a great tool box. The top tray is very convenient and a great way to carry small tools to a job. The box is well built and not too big or small. The narrow size makes it easy to place in a car or on a job too.

My brother has had exact same box mounted on his trailer for 15+ years. He keeps it painted. No leaks, no issues. Very durable

Highly Recommend this Tool Box. Nice and deep, Love the Full Size Tray . Very hard almost impossible to find a quality tool box with a Full Size Tray - all others have a Half Size Tray. Good Quality Box, Metal Latches and Handle. I am so happy I am considering buying a second one.
