Jerry Pallotta is an American writer of children's books. He is best known for his Alphabet and Number books, which are designed to teach children about various topics in a fun and engaging way. Pallotta's books have been translated into over 20 languages and have sold millions of copies worldwide. Pallotta was born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in a large Italian-American family. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in English and Education. After college, Pallotta worked as a teacher and a writer for educational publishers. In 1986, he published his first book, The I Spy Alphabet Book. Pallotta's books are known for their rhyming text, colorful illustrations, and educational content. His Alphabet books have been particularly popular, with titles such as The I Spy Alphabet Book, The Jellyfish Jam, The Dinosaur Alphabet Book, and The Butterfly Alphabet Book.
